Tony Stockwell
Tony Stockwell is a British psychic medium, author and television personality. He was born in Walthamstow, East London and currently lives in Wickford, Essex. Career Stockwell was born in London's East End. His career as a medium began at the age of 16 when he was invited to a local Spiritualist church by a friend to see another medium at work. After this experience, Tony decided that he wanted to become a medium. In his early years he practised mediumship at the Spiritualist Association of Great Britain. Stockwell has worked extensively in the media and has had three of his own television series: ''The Psychic Detective'', ''Street Psychic'', and ''Psychic School''. Psychic
A psychic is a person who claims to use extrasensory perception (ESP) to identify information hidden from the normal senses, particularly involving telepathy or clairvoyance, or who performs acts that are apparently inexplicable by natural laws, such as psychokinesis or teleportation. 6ixth Sense
''6ixth Sense'' is a British television series aired on Living TV. Hosted by spiritualist medium Colin Fry, it features him giving Psychic readings to a studio audience, and occasionally shows one-to-one readings. Background Fry turned down three offers to do a television programme before he finally accepted to make ''6ixth Sense with Colin Fry'' in 2002. 6ixth Sense catapulted him to fame and made him a household name. It was the start of a successful run of TV shows for him on Living TV. IPM, the television company who made 6ixth Sense, said that they wanted to make a British version of ''Crossing Over'' with Fry working with an audience theatre-style and doing one-to-one sittings. A spirit guide, in Western spiritualism, is an entity that remains as a discarnate spirit to act as a guide or protector to a living incarnated human being. Description In traditional African belief systems, well before the spread of Christianity and Islam, Africans believed and continue to believe in the eternal and ubiquitous spirit of the ancestors and the Almighty God. The ancestors are thought of as the ‘living-dead’, who continue to show a compassionate interest in the daily lives of their living descendants. Colin Fry
Colin Fry (19 May 1962 – 25 August 2015) was a British spiritualist medium and television personality. He was one of the best known mediums in Britain bringing comfort and entertainment to many. Biography Colin Fry was born on 19 May 1962 in Haywards Heath, Sussex. He claimed to have discovered psychic ability from the age of four when he told his grandfather that his mother had “died and gone to heaven”. The next day his grandfather received a telegram that said his mother had passed away. The Spiritualist Association of Great Britain (the SAGB) is a British spiritualist organisation. It was established ion 10th July 1872. History The SAGB grew out of the Marylebone Spiritualist Association (founded 1872). The story of the association's early struggles "to propagate spiritual truths in the Marylebone area of London" is told in an SAGB publication, "One Hundred Years of Spiritualism", which also states that Queen Victoria allegedly held several séances after the death of the Prince Consort. Mediumship
Mediumship is the practice of purportedly mediating communication between familiar spirits or ghost, spirits of the dead and living human beings. Practitioners are known as "mediums" or "spirit mediums". There are different types of mediumship or spirit conduit (channeling), channelling, including table-turning, séance tables, trance, and ouija.
