Tony Smith (Australian Rugby League Footballer)
Tony Smith (born 24 January 1967) is a professional rugby league coach and former player He played for the Illawarra Steelers and St. George Dragons in the ARL, and Workington Town in the Super League. He coached the Huddersfield Giants, Leeds Rhinos and Warrington Wolves in the Super League, and Japan, Great Britain and England at international level. He is currently the Head coach of Super League club, Hull F.C. from September 2022 for the 2023 season. Background Smith was born in Grafton, New South Wales, Australia. He is the younger brother of fellow rugby league coach Brian Smith and uncle to former Tonga national team and current Leeds Rhinos head coach, Rohan Smith. Wakefield Trinity
Wakefield Trinity is a professional rugby league club in Wakefield, West Yorkshire, England, that plays in the Super League. One of the original twenty-two clubs that formed the Northern Rugby Football Union in 1895, between 1999 and 2016 the club was known as Wakefield Trinity Wildcats. The club has played at Belle Vue Stadium in Wakefield since 1895 and has rivalries with Castleford Tigers and Featherstone Rovers. Rohan Smith (rugby League)
Rohan Smith (born 6 May 1981) is an Australian rugby league coach who is head coach of Leeds Rhinos and a former head coach of Tonga and the Bradford Bulls. Background Smith was born in Australia and his the son of former Australian player and coach Brian Smith and nephew of Tony Smith. After his father was appointed head coach of the Bradford Bulls in 1995 he moved to England as a teenager and played amateur rugby league for Stanningley ARFLC alongside future Leeds Rhinos player Jamie Jones Buchanan. 2004 Super League Grand Final
The 2004 Super League Grand Final was the 7th official Grand Final and conclusive and championship-deciding game of Super League IX. It was held on Saturday 16 October 2004, at Old Trafford, Manchester, and was played between Leeds Rhinos, who finished top of the league after the 28 weekly rounds, and Bradford Bulls, who finished second after the weekly rounds. Daryl Powell
Daryl A. Powell (born 21 July 1965) is an English professional rugby league coach who is the head coach of the Warrington Wolves in the Super League. He is a former professional rugby league footballer who played as a in the 1980s, 1990s and 2000s. He played for Sheffield Eagles, Keighley Cougars and Leeds Rhinos, as well as Balmain Tigers and Gold Coast Seagulls in Australia. He played more than 450 games including 33 caps for Great Britain, and made appearances in the Super League Grand Final and in two Challenge Cup Finals for the Leeds Rhinos. The Leigh Leopards are a professional rugby league club based in Leigh, Greater Manchester, England, who compete in the Betfred Super League. A bomb, also known as an up and under or a Garryowen, is a type of kick used in various codes of football. As the names suggests, it is a high kick intended to send the ball relatively straight up so players can get under it before it comes down (see ''hang time''). Rugby league The execution of a ''bomb'' in rugby league involves putting up a high kick in general play. The ball often does not travel very far forward, giving the attacking team time to run ahead to where it is expected to land, providing the possibility of re-gaining possession amongst an un-set defensive line. Bombs are often used when close to the try-line, so that the attacking team's best jumpers have a chance to leap for the ball and come down with it in the in-goal area.
