Tony Neelankavil
Mar Tony Neelankavil is a Syro-Malabar catholic bishop and titular bishop of Masuccaba. He is the third and the present Auxiliary Bishop of Syro-Malabar Catholic Archdiocese of Thrissur from November 2017. He was nominated as the Auxiliary Bishop on 1 September 2017 and was ordained to the office on 18 November 2017 by Archbishop Mar Andrews Thazhath assisted by Mar Jacob Thoomkuzhy and Mar Raphael Thattil. Early life Neelankavil was born on 23 July 1967, at Valapad, as the eldest son among the five children of Chevalier Prof. N.A Ouseph and T.J Mary in the Archeparchy of Trichur. He belongs to Our Lady of Lourdes Metropolitan Cathedral Trichur. Neelankavil had his school education at St. Raphael's Lower Primary School, Ollur and Latin Convent L.P. School, Trichur, Don Bosco School, Mannuthy and Model High School for Boys, Trichur. Syro-Malabar Catholic Archeparchy Of Thrissur
The Syro-Malabar Catholic Archeparchy of Trichur-Palayoor, in Thrissur District of Central Kerala, India, with nearly half a million Syro-Malabar Catholics now, used to be the largest Catholic diocese in India when it included the Syro-Malabar Catholic Diocese of Irinjalakuda until 1978 and Syro-Malabar Catholic Eparchy of Palghat until 1973. Mar Jacob Thoomkuzhy (born 13 December 1930) is an East Syriac Catholic Archbishop Emeritus, First Bishop of Mananthavady diocese, Second bishop of Thamarassery diocese and the second Metropolitan Archbishop of the Syro-Malabar Catholic Archdiocese of Thrissur in India. Mar Andrews Thazhath (born 13 December 1951) is an Indian Catholic prelate and Archeparch of Thissur in the Syro-Malabar Catholic Church.
