Tony Keenan
Tony Keenan (born 6 May 1964) is a former Australian rules footballer who played with Collingwood in the Victorian Football League (VFL). Keenan, from Greensborough, captained the 1981 Victorian Teal Cup team, which featured future greats Dermott Brereton, Gary Pert and Paul Salmon.'' The following season he was again on the sidelines after dislocating a shoulder and undergoing reconstructive surgery. Northern Blues
The Preston Football Club, which trades and plays as the Northern Bullants, is a long-established Australian rules football club based in Preston that plays in the Victorian Football League (VFL). It plays its home games at the Preston City Oval. The club was established in 1882 as the Preston Football Club. The club participated in the Victorian Football Association (VFA) between 1903 and 1911, and then since 1926. After World War II, the club was known as the Bullants, and wore a plain red guernsey with a white monogram. The club later became the Northern Bullants. It was affiliated with the Carlton Blues in the Australian Football League (AFL) from 2003 to 2020; and, from 2012 until 2020, the club adopted the colours and nickname of its AFL affiliate to become the Northern Blues. Glenn McLean (footballer)
Glenn McLean (born 10 July 1961) is a former Australian rules footballer who played with Melbourne and Collingwood in the Victorian Football League (VFL). McLean, whose father Tom was a Melbourne player in the 1950s, attended Moorabbin Technical School and played his early football at Beaumaris. He came to Melbourne from Sandringham in the Victorian Football Association (VFA). A ruckman, McLean managed just three senior VFL appearances in 1980 and 1981. McLean was however regularly selected in 1982, with veteran Garry Baker on the sidelines because of a knee injury and another ruckman Michael Byrne crossing to Hawthorn. McLean played in nine of the first ten rounds that year, before breaking his wrist, but returned to finish with 15 games for the season.
