Tony Holden (Home And Away)
Anthony "Tony" Holden is a fictional character from the Australian Channel Seven soap opera '' Home and Away'', played by Jon Sivewright. The character debuted on-screen during the episode airing on 5 August 2005. As of 2010 Sivewright was the joint second longest-serving current male cast member in the serial. In February 2010, it was announced that Sivewright was being written out of the serial after five years following the departure of his co-star Amy Mathews. Tony's storylines have focused on his grief on losing his wife, girlfriend and child, he is described as a "family man" who puts them first. Casting As of 2010 Sivewright was the joint-second longest serving male cast member. That year his co-star Mathews who plays on-screen wife Rachel Armstrong had quit the serial to pursue other projects and it was revealed that producers decided that it was the right time to write out Sivewright's character. Jon Sivewright
Jon Sivewright (born 22 May 1965) is an Australian actor. He is best known for portraying Tony Holden in Home and Away, a role he played from 2005 to 2010 Biography Before becoming an actor he worked as a miner and spent 12 years as a fireman. He moved to live in Sydney in 2003 and was accepted into the Actors' Centre in Surry Hills, Sydney where he completed the two and a half-year junior course. His first television acting job was playing Strike Team Firie in an episode of Fireflies entitled Fighting Fire with Fire which aired in 2004. He made a number of other minor television appearances before securing a role in Home and Away. Elizabeth Ann "Beth" Hunter (also Walters and Sutherland) is a fictional character from the Australian Channel Seven soap opera ''Home and Away'', played by Clarissa House. She made her first on-screen appearance on 17 April 2003 and departed on 30 January 2007. The character died from injuries sustained in a car crash on 23 April 2007. Character development The serial's official website described Beth as an "open-minded" female who holds a "strong sense of personal morality and integrity". When characters get to know Beth she shows a "delicious sense of humour".
