Tony Gallimore
Anthony Mark Gallimore (born 21 February 1972) is an English former professional footballer who played as a left back from 1990 to 2007. He began his career with Stoke City in 1990 and subsequently spent two separate loan spells with Carlisle United in 1991 and 1992. He joined United on a permanent deal a year later and went on to spend three years at Brunton Park before joining Grimsby Town in 1996. It was at Grimsby where he arguably played some of his best football, during the 1997–98 season the club earned promotion via the play-offs as well as a few weeks earlier being victorious in the Football League Trophy. He departed Grimsby in 2003 after spending seven seasons at Blundell Park, his next port of call was league rivals Barnsley where he remained for a year before joining Rochdale. Crewe
Crewe () is a railway town and civil parish in the unitary authority of Cheshire East in Cheshire, England. Mark Lever
Mark Lever (born 29 March 1970) is an English former professional association football, footballer and coach who played as a Defender (association football), defender from 1988 until 2005. Lever came through the youth ranks at Grimsby Town F.C., Grimsby Town in 1988. He became a first team regular in the early nineties and was part of the team that won promotion via the Football League Second Division play-off final and the Football League Trophy during the 1997–98 season. Lever spent the first twelve years of his career with Grimsby and departed the club in 2000 when he joined Bristol City F.C., Bristol City. Peter Handyside
Peter David Handyside (born 31 July 1974) is a Scottish former professional footballer who played as a defender from 1992 until 2007. Despite being Scottish, Handyside played his entire career in England, having initially came through the youth ranks at Heston Rovers he was scouted by Grimsby Town who signed him as a junior before promoting him to the first team in 1992. Handyside went on to make over 200 appearances for Grimsby in all competitions and was in the team that won the Football League Second Division play-offs and Football League Trophy during the 1997–98 season. In 2001 after nine years at Blundell Park, Handyside joined Stoke City who he went on to captain and eventually earning promotion out of the Second Division like he had previously done at Grimsby. John McDermott (English Footballer)
John McDermott (born 3 February 1969) is an English football coach and former professional footballer As a player, he was a right-back from 1987 to 2007, spending his entire 20-year playing career at Grimsby Town, and holds the club's all-time appearance record, having played 647 league games, 754 games overall for the Mariners. He is one of only 17 players in the history of English football to play more than 600 Football League matches for a single club. Upon retirement McDermott moved into coaching at the Grimsby Institute before he was appointed assistant manager at Harrogate Town in 2010. Clive Paul Mendonca (born 9 September 1968) is an English former professional footballer, who played as a striker between 1986 and 2002 notably for Grimsby Town and Charlton Athletic. Mendonca also played for Sheffield United, Doncaster Rovers and Rotherham United. Career Mendonca started his career with Sheffield United, before spells with Doncaster Rovers, Rotherham United and Sheffield United again. John Oster
John Morgan Oster (born 8 December 1978) is a football coach and former professional player who played as a midfielder. Oster was a product of the youth team at Grimsby Town where he was added to the first team squad in 1994, however he didn't make his debut until the 1996–97 season. His performances that season caught the eye of Premier League side Everton who paid £1.5 million for him during the summer of 1997. Two years later he was sold to Sunderland where he remained until 2005. Gary Croft
Gary Croft (born 17 February 1974) is an English former professional footballer and co-commentator for BBC Radio Humberside. Asa player he was a left back from 1992 until 2008, as well as briefly coming out of retirement in 2015. He notably played for Grimsby Town, Blackburn Rovers and Ipswich Town, having also had spells with Wigan Athletic, Cardiff City, Lincoln City and Grimsby Borough. He was the first footballer to play in the Football League whilst wearing an electronic tag, when playing for Ipswich Town.
