Tony Currie (rugby League)
Tony Currie (born 25 December 1962) is an Australian former professional rugby league footballer who played in the 1980s and 1990s. He is of Aboriginal descent and played for the Australian side, State of Origin for Queensland. At club level he played for the Brisbane Broncos, and the Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs in Australia, appearing in premiership-winning sides for both teams, as well as Leeds in England. Playing career In 1982, while playing with Western Suburbs, Currie won the Brisbane Rugby League premiership's Rothmans Medal. On 20 July 1988 Currie played for Australia in their record 62-point win over Papua New Guinea, scoring a try. Currie helped the Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs win the 1988 Grand Final against the Balmain Tigers. He also played in the Brisbane Broncos first grand final in 1992, helping them to claim their maiden premiership. Broncos And Super League
A bucking horse is any breed or either gender of horse with a propensity to buck. They have been, and still are, referred to by various names, including bronco, broncho, and roughstock. The harder they buck, the more desirable they are for rodeo events. Roughstock breeders have long established strings of bucking horses with broodmares and stallions that have been bred and crossbred to more consistently produce the desired temperaments and athletic ability needed for bareback and saddle bronc competition. Super League
The Super League (officially known as the Betfred Super League due to sponsorship from Betfred and legally known as Super League Europe), is the top-level of the British rugby league system. At present the league consists of twelve teams, of which eleven are from Northern England, reflecting the sport's geographic heartland within the UK, and one from southern France. The Super League began in 1996, replacing the existing First Division and, significantly, switching from a traditional winter season to a summer season. Each team plays 27 games between February and September: 11 home games, 11 away games, Magic Weekend and an additional 4 'loop fixtures' decided by league positions.
