Tony Chimel
Tony Chimel is an American former professional wrestling ring announcer best known for his time with WWE. Announcing career World Wrestling Federation / Entertainment / WWE Before Chimel become a ring announcer, he and Joey Marella were the main ring technicians for the WWE. Chimel then began announcing duties for the company in 1989, working mostly televised B-Shows or non-televised house shows and filling in for Howard Finkel whenever necessary, including appearances on ''Raw''. SmackDown! (1999–2007) Chimel was the ''SmackDown!'' ring announcer from its inception in 1999. He was also the ring announcer at ''SmackDown'' brand pay-per-views from 2002 to 2007. He defeated Howard Finkel for the rights to be ''SmackDown!'' announcer in 1999 in a tuxedo match. On Kurt Angle's final episode as ''SmackDown!'' Stunner (professional Wrestling)
A stunner is a common term in professional wrestling referring to the ¾ facelock jawbreaker maneuver. The innovator of the move has been disputed, as both Mikey Whipwreck (who called it the ''Whippersnapper'') and Michael P.S. Hayes (who called it the ''9-1-1'') have both claimed to be behind the origin of the move. The move was named for Stone Cold Steve Austin's ''Stone Cold Stunner'' finisher, a finisher suggested to him by Hayes. It involves an attacking wrestler applying a three-quarter facelock (reaching back and grabbing the head of an opponent, thus pulling the opponent's jaw above the wrestler's shoulder) before falling to a seated position and forcing the opponent's jaw (but predominantly the opponent's neck) to drop down on the shoulder of the attacking wrestler. ''WWE Saturday Morning Slam'' is a short-lived American professional wrestling television show that was produced by the WWE. It aired as part of the ''Vortexx'' Saturday morning block launch on The CW from August 25, 2012 to May 11, 2013. The program had a TV Parental Guidelines rating of TV-G and TV-Y7 FV to meet the guidelines of the timeslot, thus more aggressive wrestling moves permissible under a broader TV-PG rating were unseen. The show was cancelled after one season on as The CW Vortexx owner Saban Brands and WWE disagreed on its future creative direction. A house show or live event is a professional wrestling event produced by a major promotion that is not televised, though they can be recorded. Promotions use house shows mainly to cash in on the exposure that they and their wrestlers receive during televised events, as well as to test reactions to matches, wrestlers, and gimmicks that are being considered for the main televised programming and upcoming pay-per-views. House shows are entire events and not the same as dark matches—untelevised matches that occur as part of an event that was already being televised.
