Tony Black (footballer)
Anthony Paul Black (born 15 July 1969) is an English retired footballer who played as a winger and striker. Career Early career Black played in the Pendle Charity League for amateur club Burnley Dynamos in 1990. He played as striker and helped Dynamos to promotion in the club's inception year. He also helped the club lift a 2nd division trophy cup, scoring 2 goals in the semi-final and one in the final. After a short time with Dynamos, he moved to Burnley United of the West Lancashire Football League. Bamber Bridge Wigan Athletic Football League Third Division club Wigan Athletic signed Black for £12,500 on 22 March 1995. On 29 March, he made his debut for the club, playing the whole 90 minutes in a 1–1 draw with Hereford United at Springfield Park. Barrow-in-Furness
Barrow-in-Furness is a port town in Cumbria, England. Historically in Lancashire, it was incorporated as a municipal borough in 1867 and merged with Dalton-in-Furness Urban District in 1974 to form the Borough of Barrow-in-Furness. In 2023 the borough will merge with Eden and South Lakeland districts to form a new unitary authority; Westmorland and Furness. At the tip of the Furness peninsula, close to the Lake District, it is bordered by Morecambe Bay, the Duddon Estuary and the Irish Sea. In 2011, Barrow's population was 56,745, making it the second largest urban area in Cumbria after Carlisle. Natives of Barrow, as well as the local dialect, are known as Barrovian. The Football Association Challenge Cup, more commonly known as the FA Cup, is an annual knockout football competition in men's domestic English football. Gateshead () is a large town in northern England. It is on the River Tyne's southern bank, opposite Newcastle to which it is joined by seven bridges. The town contains the Millennium Bridge, The Sage, and the Baltic Centre for Contemporary Art, and has on its outskirts the twenty metre tall Angel of the North sculpture. Droylsden is a town in Tameside, Greater Manchester, England, east of Manchester city centre and west of Ashton-under-Lyne, with a population at the 2011 Census of 22,689. Hilton Park was a multi-purpose stadium in Leigh, Greater Manchester, Leigh, Greater Manchester, England.
