Alfred Solaas
Alfred Solaas (April 15, 1912 – November 23, 1968) was a Norwegian actor, film director, and theater director. He was engaged for many years at the Oslo New Theater. Career Solaas debuted in 1934 at the Carl Johan Theater. After that, he was engaged with the Central Theater from 1935 to 1939 and with the Oslo New Theater from 1940 to 1960, followed by freelance work. At the Central Theater his appearances included roles in ''The Threepenny Opera'' (Norwegian title: ''Tolvskillingsoperaen'') in 1938 and in Finn Bo's revue ''Takk for sist'' (Nice to See You Again), and he received praise for his role as Arv in Ludvig Holberg's ''Jean de France''. He made his debut as a director in 1946 and staged Shakespeare plays such as ''Hamlet'', '' A Midsummer Night's Dream'', and '' As You Like It''. Rolf Nannestad
Rolf Nannestad (August 29, 1887 – December 15, 1969) was a Norwegian actor. Nannestad was born in Svinør, Norway. He worked at the New Theater in the 1930s, and he was later engaged with the Norwegian Theater, People's Theater, Oslo New Theater, and Stage 7. Nannestad appeared in several films between 1938 and 1968, with his film debut in ''Det drønner gjennom dalen''. Wenche Foss
Eva Wenche Steenfeldt Stang (5 December 1917 – 28 March 2011), better known as Wenche Foss (), was a leading Norwegian actress of stage, screen and television. Personal life Wenche Foss was born to engineer Christian August Steenfeldt-Foss (1878–1960) and Alfhild Røren. Foss grew up with an atheist mother and a devout Christian father; she inherited both views but has stated: "I could not fall asleep without the prayer". Her first marriage was to engineer and film producer Alf Scott-Hansen (1903–1961), a son of port director Alf Scott-Hansen, but the marriage was dissolved. In 1953 she married landowner and industrialist Thomas Stang (1897–1982), thus becoming a sister-in-law of Axel Heiberg Stang and daughter-in-law of Ole A. Stang and Emma Heiberg. Liv Johanne Ullmann (born 16 December 1938) is a Norwegian actress and film director. Recognised as one of the greatest European actresses of all time, Ullmann is known as the muse and frequent partner of filmmaker Ingmar Bergman. Finn Kvalem (April 12, 1934 – February 26, 1990) was a Norwegian actor, stage director, and translator. Kvalem had his debut at the Norwegian Theater in 1955, where he was engaged from 1956 to 1969. After that, he was at the National Theater in Oslo from 1969 to 1975. and again in 1985. He performed for NRK's television Theater from 1975 to 1979 and was the director of the Telemark Theater from 1982 to 1984. Kvalem is best remembered for his interpretation of Vidkun Quisling in Stein Ørnhøi's 1988 documentary ''Et liv – en rettssak'' (A Life: A Court Case). He also appeared in several Norwegian films. Kvalem was the head of the Norwegian Actors' Equity Association from 1974 to 1976. Per Gjersøe
Per Gjersøe (13 October 1908 – 6 November 1980) was a Norwegian actor, stage instructor and film director. He was born in Tønsberg. He made his stage debut at Nationaltheatret in 1938. From 1945 to 1950 he was assigned at Studioteatret, and later at Det nye Teater, Riksteatret, Fjernsynsteatret, Teatret Vårt in Molde, and at Den Nationale Scene in Bergen. Finn Hugo Bernhoft (February 6, 1898 – April 27, 1981) was a Norwegian theater and film actor. Bernhoft was born in Kristiania (now Oslo), Norway. He debuted in 1917 in Edvard Drabløs's touring theater, and he started working with the Trondheim National Theater that same year. He later played at Chat Noir, the Carl Johan Theater, and the Central Theater, and from 1948 to 1958 he was engaged with the Trøndelag Theater. Synnøve Gleditsch (née Synnøve Tanvik, June 16, 1908 – December 7, 1980) was a Norwegian actress. Life and work Synnøve Gleditsch was the daughter of the arsenal manager Nils Tanvik (1872–1969) and Kristine Eian (1875–1925).
