Tønne Huitfeldt
Tønne Huitfeldt (20 November 1625 – 12 September 1677) was a Norwegian military officer and landowner. He is best known for leading the defense of Halden, during the Second Northern War. He was a signatory of the 1661 Sovereignty Act, the new constitution of Denmark-Norway, as one of the representatives of the noble estate. Career Tønne Huitfeldt was born in Hurum in Buskerud. In 1644, he was appointed lieutenant governor by Hannibal Sehested, Governor-general of Norway. In 1657, Huitfeld was promoted to lieutenant colonel and chief of the Norwegian soldiers who were sent to Denmark. In 1651, he was appointed captain in the Båhusiske Regiment at Bohus Fortress. In 1659, Huitfeld was appointed a colonel and commander of the defense of Halden. Situated at the mouth of the Tista River on the Iddefjord, Halden is located near the southernmost border crossing between Norway and Sweden. Erik Tønne (born 3 July 1991) is a Norwegian professional footballer who plays as a winger for Ranheim. Tønne began his playing career as a youngster with Nardo, Rosenborg and Strindheim in his native Norway before moving to England to sign for Sheffield United in 2011. He has also had loan spells at York City and HamKam. Grant Hendrik Tonne (born 22 June 1976) is a German politician who became Minister for Education for Lower Saxony in 2017. Since 2020 he has been a member of the Landtag of Lower Saxony. Tonne has been one of the state's representatives on the German Bundesrat since 2017. He is a member of the German-Polish Friendship Group set up in cooperation with the Senate of Poland. Wolfgang Tonne (28 February 1918 – 20 April 1943) was a German Luftwaffe military aviation, military aviator and fighter ace during World War II. He is credited with 122 aerial victories—that is, 122 aerial combat encounters resulting in the destruction of the enemy aircraft—achieved in 641 combat missions. This figure includes 96 aerial victories on the Eastern Front (World War II), Eastern Front, and further 26 victories over the Allies of World War II, Western Allies, including one four-engined bomber. Born in Moßbach, Tonne grew up in the Weimar Republic and Nazi Germany. He joined the military service in the Luftwaffe in 1937.
