Toni Phillips
Toni Phillips is a British DJ, blogger and national radio presenter currently hosting the 1-4 pm slot on Capital XTRA excluding Saturday. Phillips entered the broadcasting industry aged 19 as the Entertainment Reporter for South Coast radio station Power FM. She gained popularity in the south for her jovial nature, and was asked to play 'Jasmine' at the King's Theatre in Hampshire, alongside Dean Gaffney and Syd Little in the pantomime Aladdin. Having hosted the mid-morning show for KISS 100 for over two years, Phillips was approached to join Capital FM Network. She joined Capital XTRA as a weekday presenter in early 2014, and extended this to Sundays in mid-2016. Capital South Coast was a regional radio station owned by operated by Global Radio as part of the Capital (radio network), Capital radio network. It broadcast to Hampshire from studios in Segensworth, Fareham. In 2019, Capital South Coast was replaced by Capital South following a merger with Capital Brighton. Kings Theatre, Southsea
The Kings Theatre is a theatre in Southsea, Portsmouth, designed by the architect Frank Matcham. It opened on 30 September 1907. It is operated by the Kings Theatre Trust Ltd. The building was designated a Grade II* listed building in 1976. Dean Gaffney
Dean Martin Gaffney (born 14 February 1978) is an English actor, known for his role as Robbie Jackson on the BBC soap opera ''EastEnders'' from 1993 to 2003 and 2017 to 2019; he also made guest appearances in 2004, 2010 and 2015. Syd Little (born Cyril John Mead; 19 December 1942) is an English comedian who was the straight man in the double act Little and Large, with Eddie Large. Capital is a network of twelve independent contemporary hit radio stations in the United Kingdom, broadcasting a mix of local and networked programming. The Isle of Wight Festival is a British music festival which takes place annually in Newport on the Isle of Wight, England. It was originally a counterculture event held from 1968 to 1970. The 1970 event was by far the largest of these early festivals and the unexpectedly high attendance levels led, in 1971, to Parliament adding a section to the Isle of Wight County Council Act 1971 preventing overnight open-air gatherings of more than 5,000 people on the island without a special licence from the council.
