Tomáš Kalas
Tomáš Kalas (born 15 May 1993) is a Czech professional footballer who plays for Bristol City and the Czech Republic national team. He plays as a centre-back, but has also been played as a right-back. Having begun his career at Sigma Olomouc, Kalas signed for Chelsea for a reported £5.2 million in 2010. He spent most of his tenure out on loan, first back at Sigma, then at Vitesse Arnhem, 1. FC Köln, Middlesbrough, Fulham and Bristol City. He transferred to Bristol City fully in 2019. Kalas earned 42 caps and scored once for the Czech youth international teams, and made his senior international debut in 2012. He was included in the Czech Republic squad for UEFA Euro 2020. SK Sigma Olomouc is a Czech football club from the city of Olomouc. The club currently plays in the Czech First League, the first tier of Czech football. The club played in the first tier league for 30 years between 1984 and 2014, winning the Czech Cup and Czech Supercup in 2012. Sportvereniging Roda Juliana Combinatie Kerkrade (; Ripuarian: ), also known as Roda JC Kerkrade () or commonly Roda JC or Roda, is a Dutch professional football club based in Kerkrade, Netherlands. In sports, a loan involves a particular player being able to temporarily play for a club other than the one to which they are currently contracted. Loan deals may last from a few weeks to a full season, sometimes persisting for multiple seasons at a time. A loan fee can be arranged by the parent club as well as them asking to pay a percentage of their wages. Association football Players may be loaned out to other clubs for several reasons.
