Tommy Sørensen (born 1 April 1979) is a Danish badminton Badminton is a racquet sport played using racquets to hit a shuttlecock across a net. Sørensen started playing badminton at the age of 3 and won 2 youth titles in his teens. He was particularly successful in the year 2001 when he won titles in Scotland, Norway and Slovakia. He became World Senior Champion for the first time in 2015 by winning title in mixed doubles discipline. In 2019 he became World Champion again in mixed doubles and men's doubles categories. Badminton
Badminton is a racquet sport played using racquets to hit a shuttlecock across a net. Although it may be played with larger teams, the most common forms of the game are "singles" (with one player per side) and "doubles" (with two players per side). Badminton is often played as a casual outdoor activity in a yard or on a beach; formal games are played on a rectangular indoor court. Points are scored by striking the shuttlecock with the racquet and landing it within the opposing side's half of the court. Each side may only strike the shuttlecock once before it passes over the net. Play ends once the shuttlecock has struck the floor or if a fault has been called by the umpire, service judge, or (in their absence) the opposing side. The shuttlecock is a feathered or (in informal matches) plastic projectile which flies differently from the balls used in many other sports. Helsingborg Arena is a multipurpose arena in Helsingborg, Sweden, run by and associated with the municipal companies Helsingborg Events and Idrottspark AB and Helsingborg Arena and Scen AB, respectively. History Plans for the new arena began in 2005. It was designed by the engineering consultancy company Sweco AB. The inauguration of the arena took place on 30 November 2012. Victoria Wright (born Victoria Hristova; 1 May 1974) is a former Bulgarian badminton player, and later represented France. She competed for Bulgaria at the first edition of the badminton at the Summer Olympics in Barcelona. In Bulgaria, she won nine times National Championships title, 4 in the women's singles and 5 in the women's doubles event. Rasmus Andersen (badminton)
Rasmus Morten Andersen (25 September 1861 – 28 February 1930) was a Danish sculptor. He is mainly known for his naturalistic portraits. Early life and education Rasmus Andersen was born at Ørting, near Horsens, the son of Niels Andersen and Johanne Mortensdatter Andersen. He trained as a wood carver. He attended the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts from 1877 to 1884 and trained to become a sculptor at Wilhelm Bissen's studio. Career Andersen had his debut at the Charlottenborg Spring Exhibition in 1882. He won the Academy's small gold medal for the relief ''Eumaios'' in 1884. He participated in the World's Columbian Exposition in 1893 as well as a number of major Danish exhibitions. Carsten Mogensen (born 24 July 1983) is a former badminton player from Denmark. He was the gold medalist at the 2015 European Games, two time European champions winning in 2012 and 2017, and the silver medalist at the 2012 Summer Olympics.
