Tom Sheahan
Tom Sheahan (born 5 September 1968) is an Irish former Fine Gael politician who served as a Senator for the Administrative Panel from 2011 to 2016 and a Teachta Dála (TD) for the Kerry South constituency from 2007 to 2011. He was elected to the 30th Dáil at the 2007 general election. He was elected to Kerry County Council for the Killarney local electoral area following the 2004 local elections. He was the Fine Gael deputy spokesperson on Agriculture, with special responsibility for Forestry from October 2010 to March 2011. Previously, he served as deputy spokesperson on Agriculture, with special responsibility for Fisheries from 2007 to 2010. He is a member of the Kerry Mental Health Association, Rathmore Community Council and Rathmore GAA Club. He lost his seat at the 2011 general election to party colleague Brendan Griffin. Thomas Sheehan (philosopher)
Thomas Sheehan (born 25 June 1941) is an American philosopher who is the current professor at the Department of Religious Studies, Stanford University and Professor Emeritus at the Department of Philosophy, Loyola University Chicago. He is known for his books on Heidegger and Roman Catholicism. His philosophical specialties are in philosophy of religion, twentieth-century European philosophy, and classical metaphysics. Tom Sheehan
Thomas Clancy Sheehan (March 31, 1894 – October 29, 1982) was an American pitcher, scout, coach and manager in Major League Baseball. Born in Grand Ridge, Illinois, Sheehan, a right-hander, had a six-year pitching career from 1915–16, 1921 and 1924–26, playing for the Philadelphia Athletics and New York Yankees of the American League and the Cincinnati Reds and Pittsburgh Pirates of the National League. He pitched for two of the worst teams in big league history — the - 16 Athletics. Manager and part-owner Connie Mack totally dismantled his AL-champion club after it was swept by the "Miracle" Boston Braves in the World Series. After Mack replaced his stars with inexperienced players, the A's of 1915–16 won a total of 79 games, while losing 226 — a winning percentage of only .259. Tom Sheehan (politician)
Thomas Sheehan (14 April 1891 – 26 March 1955) was an Australian politician. Born in Sydney, he attended Catholic schools before becoming an engine-driver and official of the Australian Federated Union of Locomotive Enginemen. He was involved in local politics as a member of Newtown City Council. In 1937, he was elected to the Australian House of Representatives as the Labor member for Cook. In 1940, when the New South Wales Caucus of the Labor Party split, Sheehan joined the Australian Labor Party (Non-Communist) under the leadership of Jack Lang. However, in 1941 John Curtin reunited the party, and Sheehan and the other Lang Labor members rejoined the federal ALP. He held the seat for the rest of his life. Thomas married Annie O'Mara and had four children, Stanley, Thomas, May and Kenneth.
