Thomas Lawrence Scott (October 9, 1907 – June 1962) was the very first head coach of the Old Dominion Monarchs football (then known as the Norfolk Division of the College of William and Mary) team (then known as the "Braves"), which was established in 1930 and discontinued after the 1939 season for eligibility and debt concerns. Oscar Charles "Tommy" Scott (4 August 1892 – 15 June 1961) was a West Indian cricketer who played in West Indies' inaugural Test tour of England in 1928. Scott was born in Franklyn Town, Kingston, Jamaica. A leg-spinner and lower-order batsman, he took 11 for 138 for Jamaica against the English team in 1910-11 on his first-class debut at the age of 18. His best innings figures were 8 for 67 (12 for 132 in the match) in Jamaica's innings victory over L. H. Tennyson's XI in 1927–28. He played in eight Tests for the West Indies, including all five in the tour of Australia in 1930–31, when he finished the Australian first innings in the First Test by taking four wickets in nine deliveries without cost. Scott holds the record for the most runs conceded by a bowler in a Test. His match figures of 9 for 374, against England at Kingston in 1929–30, included a first innings bowling analysis of 80.2 overs, 13 maidens, 266 runs for 5 wickets, as England amassed 849 in a timeless ... Ramblin' Tommy Scott (June 24, 1917 – September 30, 2013), aka "Doc" Tommy Scott, was an American country and rockabilly musician. Biography Thomas Scott was born outside of Toccoa, Georgia, United States, and began playing the guitar at age ten. After high school he joined Doc Chamberlain's medicine show, and got his first job in radio on WTFL in Athens, Georgia in 1933. He also sold Vim Herb on the radio. After Chamberlain retired and gave Scott the patent medicines, he landed a regular job fronting the Uncle Pete and Minervy show on Raleigh, North Carolina's WPTF, and soon after this he was offered a job with Charlie Monroe becoming the first Kentucky Partner as a feature act - Rambling Scotty. He performed on the WWVA Jamboree in Wheeling, West Virginia with Monroe and was also a frequent soloist there, and did skits involving ventriloquism and blackface. Tommy Scott (English Musician)
Thomas Scott (born 18 February 1964) is an English singer, songwriter and musician. He is the lead singer and guitarist of the Liverpool band Space. Scott started out as the band's bassist, but switched to guitar after David "Yorkie" Palmer joined in 1997, partly so that he could concentrate on vocals. Prior to Space, he has played in various Liverpool bands, such as the Substitutes (with Jamie Murphy), Hello Sunset and the Australians (with Franny Griffiths, who later became Space's keyboardist). Following Space's original breakup in 2005, Scott formed The Drellas, which in 2011 morphed into the current line-up of Space after Griffiths rejoined the band. Thomas Kilpatrick (born 1940), known as Tommy Scott, is a Scottish songwriter, producer and singer. As a songwriter and producer in the 1960s and '70s he had numerous hits in pop, rock, and folk styles; including records with Them, The Dubliners, Sydney Devine, Twinkle, and Lena Zavaroni. From the 1980s onwards he has sung and recorded traditional Scottish music. Biography Scott worked in Glasgow's shipyards, before a musical career which has included touring with ''The White Heather Club'' and Jimmy Shand, and recordings including total sales of over a million. An early success was Eden Kane's 1964 hit single "Boys Cry" (UK #8), written by Scott and Buddy Kaye. A French version, "Les Garçons Pleurent (Boys Cry)", was a #5 hit for Richard Anthony.
