Tommy Morgan
Thomas Morgan Edwards (December 4, 1932 – June 23, 2022) was an American harmonicist and session musician, who had been active since the 1950s. He was considered one of the most heard harmonica players in the world, playing in over 500 feature films. Morgan's extraordinarily prolific career spanned seven decades, and included playing on (and occasionally composing) themes and incidental music for dozens of major Hollywood films, and hundreds of episodes of American television series, including main themes for The Rockford Files and Sanford and Son. Although frequently uncredited in his earlier career (as was typical for session musicians of that era), Morgan also has a huge list of credits in popular music -- among the most notable in that field are his prominent contributions to the seminal mid-1960s recordings by The Beach Boys, including the ''Pet Sounds'' album, their number one single "Good Vibrations" and the recordings made for their uncompleted ''Smile'' project. ... "Rainy Days and Mondays" is a 1971 song by the Carpenters, with instrumental backing by L.A. session musicians from the Wrecking Crew, that went to number 2 on the ''Billboard'' Hot 100 chart. ''Barry'' is the seventh studio album released by singer and songwriter Barry Manilow in 1980. The album reached Platinum status. The tracks were recorded at Evergreen Recording Studios in Burbank, California. Manilow co-wrote with Maurice White of Earth, Wind & Fire the album track "Only in Chicago". "We Still Have Time" was taken from the film ''Tribute''. The album scored one top ten pop hit, " I Made It Through the Rain", which reached number ten, in early 1981. Eric Howard Carmen (born August 11, 1949) is an American singer, songwriter, guitarist, and keyboardist. He was first known as the lead vocalist of the Raspberries. ''Change of Heart'' is a 1978 album by Eric Carmen. It was his third solo LP, and reached No. 137 on the ''Billboard'' album chart. The album yielded two charting singles, the title track which was a Top 20 hit in North America, as well as Carmen's remake of the Four Tops' 1964 song, "Baby I Need Your Loving". Both songs were also hits on the American and Canadian adult contemporary charts, reaching the Top 10 in Canada. The single release, "Change of Heart" is ranked as the 135th biggest Canadian hit of 1978, as well as the 160th biggest Canadian hit of 1979.
