Tommy Hugo
Tom Hugo (August 25, 1930 – November 15, 2004) was a Canadian Football League offensive lineman and linebacker who played seven seasons for the Montreal Alouettes from 1953 to 1959. He was a Montreal All-Star 12 times (1953 offence, 1954–1958 both offence and defence, 1959 defence) during his seven seasons in the CFL. Besides being an All-Star at centre every season he played, he also intercepted 25 passes (9 alone in 1958) and returned two for touchdowns, and also returned kickoffs. September 2018. Hugo was inducted into the Canadian Football League Hall of Fame as a player in 2018. Hugo played collegiate football for the University of Denver, where he was the center under future CFL legend Sam Etcheverry. Montreal Alouettes
The Montreal Alouettes (Canadian French, French: Les Alouettes de Montréal) are a professional Canadian football team based in Montreal, Quebec. Founded in 1946, the team has folded and been revived twice. The Alouettes compete in the Canadian Football League East Division, East Division of the Canadian Football League (CFL) and last won the Grey Cup championship in 98th Grey Cup, 2010. Their home field is Percival Molson Memorial Stadium for the regular season and as of 2014 also home of their playoff games. Sam Etcheverry
Samuel "The Rifle" Etcheverry (May 20, 1930 – August 29, 2009) was a professional American football, American and Canadian football player and head coach. Etcheverry played the quarterback position, most famously with the Montreal Alouettes of the Canadian Football League, and was named Canadian football's CFL's Outstanding Player Award, Most Outstanding Player in 1954. Etcheverry's jersey #92 is one of seven Montreal Alouettes#Retired numbers, retired by the Alouettes.
