Tomisław Tajner
Tomisław Tajner (born 1 January 1983) is a Polish former ski jumper who competed from 2001 to 2010. His best individual World Cup results were 24th in Titisee-Neustadt on 1 December 2001, and 24th in Engelberg on 22 December 2002. In team competitions his best result was seventh in Lahti on 2 March 2002. At the 2002 Winter Olympics in Salt Lake City, Tajner finished sixth in the large hill team competition and 39th in the individual large hill competition. At the 2003 Ski Jumping World Championships in Val di Fiemme, he finished seventh in the large hill team competition and 36th in the individual large hill competition. At the 2002 Ski Flying World Championships in Harrachov, he finished 33rd in the individual event. Wielka Krokiew
Wielka Krokiew (''The Great Krokiew'', in Polish ''krokiew'' means ''rafter'') is the biggest ski jumping hill built on the slope of Krokiew mountain (1378 m) in Zakopane, Poland. It was opened in 1925. Since 1989 the hills bears the official name Wielka Krokiew im. Stanisława Marusarza. It is a regular venue in the FIS Ski jumping World Cup. The capacity of the ski jumping stadium is 40,001. The hill was featured in competitions at the 1939 and 1962 FIS Nordic World Ski Championships as well as the 2001 Universiade. In 1997, Pope John Paul II, while visiting his native country, celebrated a mass at the hill's stadium. Utah Olympic Park
The Utah Olympic Park is a winter sports park built for the 2002 Winter Olympics, and is located in Summit County ( east of Salt Lake City) northwest of Park City, Utah, United States. During the 2002 games the park hosted the bobsleigh, skeleton, luge, ski jumping, and Nordic combined events. It still serves a training center for Olympic and development level athletes. His son, Tomisław Tajner is a ski jumper and his father, Leopold Tajner was a famous sportsman in Poland. Apoloniusz Tajner's personal best in ski jumping is 109 m. As a Nordic combined skier he won Junior Polish Championships and was placed 5th in World Junior Championships. In 1980 he graduated from Akademia Wychowania Fizycznego in Cracow, Poland. Tajner was the coach of Polish Nordic combined team from 1984 to 1990. From 1999 to 2004 he coached Polish ski jumping team. The FIS Nordic World Ski Championships 2003 took place February 18 – March 1, 2003 in Val di Fiemme, Italy for a second time (1991).
