Tomislav Sivić
Tomislav Sivić (; born 29 August 1966) is a Serbian football manager and former player. Playing career Between 1988 and 1990, Sivić spent two seasons with Bačka Subotica in the Vojvodina League, the fourth tier of Yugoslav football. He would later play for Spartak Subotica during the 1992–93 First League of FR Yugoslavia. In 1995, Sivić played for HK in Iceland. He subsequently moved to the Faroe Islands, serving as player-manager for several clubs. Managerial career In January 2005, Sivić was appointed as manager of Smederevo. He resigned from his position in early November after three consecutive losses. In June 2006, Sivić took charge of Voždovac, but left the club after just two months due to poor results early in the season. On 31 July 2015, Sivić was named as manager of the Serbia under-21s. FK Hajduk Kula (Serbian Cyrillic: ФК Хајдук Кула) was a Serbian football club based in Kula. The club was named after a Hajduk, a much celebrated hero figure in the Serbian epic poetry. On 30 July 2013, just eleven days before start of new season it was announced that club resigned from the SuperLiga and dissolved its first team due to financial problems, while the youth teams continue to participate in competitions in the club's successor OFK Hajduk. 2017 UEFA European Under-21 Championship Qualification Play-offs
The play-offs of the 2017 UEFA European Under-21 Championship qualifying competition involve the four runners-up with the best records among all nine groups in the qualifying group stage: Austria, Norway, Serbia, and Spain. The draw for the play-offs was held on 14 October 2016. The play-offs are played in home-and-away two-legged format. The two play-off winners qualify for the final tournament. Ranking of second-placed teams To determine the four best second-placed teams from the qualifying group stage which advance to the play-offs, only the results of the second-placed teams against the first, third, fourth and fifth-placed teams in their group are taken into account, while results against the sixth-placed team (for groups with six teams) are not included. 2017 UEFA European Under-21 Championship
The 2017 UEFA European Under-21 Championship (also known as UEFA Under-21 Euro 2017) was the 21st edition of the UEFA European Under-21 Championship, a biennial international youth football championship organised by UEFA for the men's under-21 national teams of Europe. The final tournament was hosted in Poland for the first time, after their bid was selected by the UEFA Executive Committee on 26 January 2015 in Nyon, Switzerland. The tournament took place from 16–30 June 2017. Players born on or after 1 January 1994 were eligible for the tournament. In March 2012, UEFA announced that the competition would take place in even numbered years from 2016 onwards. In September 2013, UEFA announced its intention to continue holding the final tournament in odd numbered years following a request from its member national football associations. 2006–07 Serbian SuperLiga
The 2006–07 Serbian SuperLiga (known as the Meridian SuperLiga for sponsorship reasons) season started on 5 August 2006. The winners were Red Star Belgrade with their 25th title. FK Zemun and FK Voždovac were relegated to the 2nd league of Serbia. The SuperLiga will change format from next season with the league no longer being divided into title and relegation groups midway through the campaign. Player-manager
A player-coach (also playing coach, captain-coach, or player-manager) is a member of a sports team who simultaneously holds both playing and coaching duties. A player-coach may be a head coach or an assistant coach. They may make changes to the squad and also play on the team. Very few current major professional sports teams have head coaches who are also players, though it is common for senior players to take a role in managing more junior athletes.
