Tomer Z
Tomer Zidkyahu (known under his stage name Tomer Z) is the drummer for the band Blackfield. He joined the band in 2004 after departure of the previous drummer Chris Maitland and is currently still an active member. He also plays in the band Ephrat. Blackfield
Blackfield is a collaborative music project by the English musician and founder of Porcupine Tree, Steven Wilson, and Israeli rock singer Aviv Geffen. Together, six albums have been released under the moniker. The first two records, ''Blackfield'' and ''Blackfield II,'' saw Geffen and Wilson working together as equal partners, while the third and fourth, '' Welcome to my DNA'' and ''Blackfield IV,'' saw Geffen take on a leading role, writing all but one track across both albums and providing a significantly increased share of lead vocals. Despite initially announcing his intention to leave the project in 2014, Wilson instead worked again as an equal partner on a fifth album, ''Blackfield V'', which was released on 10 February 2017. A sixth record, ''For the Music'', was released on 4 December 2020, with Geffen again taking a leading role. Chris Maitland
Chris Maitland (born 13 May 1964) is an English drummer. Maitland was born in Cambridge, England. After being the drummer for No-Man on their Autumn 1993 tour (and playing on two tracks on their ''Flowermouth'' album), Maitland was asked by the band's Steven Wilson to join his other main project, the progressive rock band Porcupine Tree. He remained the band's drummer until February 2002, when he was dismissed and replaced by Gavin Harrison. He played on the debut album by Blackfield in 2003, sharing drumming duties with Gavin Harrison. Harrison has described Maitland as a great drummer. Between 2004 and 2005, Maitland was a member of the progressive rock supergroup Kino. Throughout his career, Maitland has been involved with many West End musicals, and from 2005 onwards, he has been playing drums on the '' Mamma Mia!'' International Tour. Ephrat
Ephrat released their debut album '' No One's Words'' in September 2008, with guest stars Daniel Gildenlöw (Pain of Salvation) and Petronella Nettermalm (Paatos). The album was mixed and mastered by Steven Wilson (Porcupine Tree). Ephrat performed a 40 minutes set as an opening act for Dream Theater in their first appearance in Israel on June 16, 2009, in front of 12,000 people. The act included the songs "The Show", "Better than Anything", "Blocked" and "Real" from the album ''No One’s Words''.
