Tomasovia Tomaszów Lubelski is a Polish football club based in Tomaszów Lubelski. IV liga Lublin group (grupa lubelska) is one of the groups of IV liga, the 5th level of Polish football league system. The league was created in season 2000/2001 after introducing new administrative division of Poland. Until the end of the 2007/08 season IV liga lay at 4th tier of league system but this was changed with the formation of the Ekstraklasa as the top level league in Poland. The clubs from Lublin Voivodeship compete in this group. The winner of the league is promoted to III liga, group IV, III liga group IV. Tomaszów Lubelski
Tomaszów Lubelski is a town in south-eastern Poland with 19,365 inhabitants (2017). Situated in the Lublin Voivodeship, near Roztocze National Park, it is the capital of Tomaszów Lubelski County. History The town was founded at the end of the 16th century by Jan Zamoyski as Jelitowo. It is known by its current name since 1613 when it was renamed after Zamoyski's son, Tomasz. It obtained its city charter in 1621. It was administratively located in the Bełz Voivodeship in the Lesser Poland Province of Poland. The area around the city saw serious fighting in 1914 during World War I. III liga, group IV is one of the four groups of III liga, which are competitions of the fourth tier of the Polish football league system. This group was established in 2016, when, after the 2015–16 season, as a result of the reorganization of the III liga in Poland, group VII was merged with group VIII.
