Tomaso Montanari
Tomaso Montanari (born 15 October 1971) is an Italian art historian, academic and essayist. Life He was born in Florence and there attended the liceo classico Dante, before graduating from the University of Pisa and studying alongside Paola Barocchi at the Scuola Normale Superiore di Pisa. He became ordinary professor of Modern Art History at the Università per Stranieri di Siena before teaching at the Università della Tuscia, the Università degli Studi di Roma Tor Vergata and the Università degli Studi di Napoli Federico II. He is notable as one of the most authoritative authors on western Baroque art, on which he has written over one hundred essays in scholarly reviews and for noted publishers. He is president of the Comitato tecnico scientifico per le Belle Arti (technical scientific committee for fine arts) in Italy's Ministry of Cultural Heritage and Activities, and is thus also ''ex officio'' a member of the Consiglio Universitario Nazionale. The ''Corriere della Sera'' (; en, "Evening Courier") is an Italian daily newspaper published in Milan with an average daily circulation of 410,242 copies in December 2015. First published on 5 March 1876, ''Corriere della Sera'' is one of Italy's oldest newspapers and is Italy's most read newspaper. Its masthead has remained unchanged since its first edition in 1876. It reached a circulation of over 1 million under editor and co-owner Luigi Albertini, between 1900 and 1925. RaiPlay is the multimedia portal owned by the Italian national broadcaster RAI replacing Rai.tv since 12 September 2016. It is for watching popular Italian shows such as 'Inspector Montalbano', 'Don Matteo' and many more. Login and registration, which are free, are required to watch on demand content on RaiPlay. Initially, access has been required only for the app, but since 21 August 2017, it is also required when using the browser. Rai, owner of RaiPlay, released a new update where RaiPlay can only be accessed when in Italy. RaiPlay also has Rai1/Rai2/RaiYoyo for kids shows and programmes, with the new update including removals of adult-related shows such as with car crashes, war, blood and nudity. During the final four years of his life he moved between Naples, Malta, and Sicily until his death. Massimo Bray (born 11 April 1959) is an Italian intellectual and politician, who served as the minister of culture from 28 April 2013 to 22 February 2014. Early life and education Bray was born in Lecce on 11 April 1959. He studied philosophy and literature in various cities, including Florence, Naples, Venice, Paris and Simancas. Career Bray is an academic publisher and a magazine editor. He was on the editorial board of the Italian Institute of Human Sciences until 1994. Giorgio Napolitano (; born 29 June 1925) is an Italian politician who served as president of Italy from 2006 to 2015, the first Italian president to be re-elected to the presidency. Giorgio Bassani (4 March 1916 – 13 April 2000) was an Italian novelist, poet, essayist, editor, and international intellectual. Biography Bassani was born in Bologna into a prosperous Jewish family of Ferrara, where he spent his childhood with his mother Dora, father Enrico (a doctor), brother Paolo, and sister Jenny. In 1934 he completed his studies at his secondary school, the liceo classico '' L. Ariosto'' in Ferrara. Music had been his first great passion and he considered a career as a pianist; however literature soon became the focus of his artistic interests.
