Harold Thomas Wright (born November 29, 1952) is an American television and theatre actor. Early life Wright was born on November 29, 1952, in Englewood, New Jersey. Career Wright has appeared in over 40 stage productions on and off Broadway. He began his acting career as an original member of The People's Light and Theater Company outside of Philadelphia. Wright also spent four years at the National Playwrights Conference and two summers at the Sundance Institute. On Broadway, he performed in ''A Taste of Honey'' which received two Tony Award nominations. Thomas Wright (25 February 1902 – 10 January 1981) was a Scottish-born Australian trade unionist. He was born at Bridgend in Kinross, Scotland, to coalminer John Easton Wright and Kathleen Florence, ''née'' Jessop. The family moved to Sydney in 1911, living in Redfern and Hurstville. Tom left school at the age of thirteen and became a sheet-metal worker at Wunderlich Ltd, coming under the influence of socialist Paddy Drew, later a founder of the Communist Party of Australia. He joined the Sheet Metal Working Industrial Union of Australia in 1921 and in 1924 became a member of the state management committee, treasurer of the New South Wales branch, and a delegate to the Labor Council of New South Wales (1924–73). He joined the Australian Labor Party and became secretary of the Hurstville branch, but after joining the Communist Party of Australia in 1923 he was expelled from the ALP in 1925. Thomas Henry Wright (October 16, 1904 – April 26, 1997) was fourth bishop of the Episcopal Diocese of East Carolina from 1945 till 1973. Early life and education Wright was born on October 16, 1904 in Wilmington, North Carolina, the son of John Maffitt Wright and Josie Young Whitaker. He graduated with a Bachelor of Arts from Sewanee: The University of the South in 1926. He then worked as a clerk with the Standard Oil Corporation of New Jersey between 1926 and 1927. Later, he studied at the Virginia Theological Seminary and graduated with a Bachelor of Divinity in 1930. On December 1, 1937, he married Hannah Hagans Knowlton and together had four children. Tom Wright (born 18 September 1957) is a British architect best known as the designer of the Burj Al Arab in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. Biography Born in Shirley, Croydon, Surrey in 1957, Wright studied at the Royal Russell School and then later at the Kingston University School of Architecture. Wright qualified as an architect the same year he was accepted as a member of the Royal Institute of British Architects in 1983 and went on from there to become a director of the architectural practice Lister Drew Haines Barrow, which was taken over in 1991 by Atkins. Wright became head of Atkins' architecture arm. Wright became design director for the Jumeirah Beach Resort, Dubai, and designed the Burj Al Arab (Tower of the Arabs) at the same time. Thomas Everette Wright (September 22, 1923 – September 5, 2017) was an American professional baseball player. The outfielder, born in Rutherfordton, North Carolina, played all or part of nine seasons in Major League Baseball (1948–56) for four American League teams. He threw right-handed, batted left-handed, stood tall and weighed as an active player. Wright was signed by the Boston Red Sox as an amateur free agent in 1942. After his first professional season, he entered the United States Army Air Forces, where he served in the Pacific Theater of Operations during World War II and missed the 1943–45 seasons. He returned to baseball in 1946, and led the Class C Carolina League in batting average (.380) and hits (an even 200), while making the CL All-Star team. His performance earned him a three-level promotion to the Double-A Southern Association for 1947, where he batted .325 and was also named an All-Star.
