Thomas Mills Wood (born April 19, 1963) is an American actor. He is known for his portrayal of police characters, especially Deputy Marshal Noah Newman in the 1993 film '' The Fugitive'' and its spinoff, the 1998 film ''U.S. Marshals''. Early life Wood was born on April 19, 1963, in Long Beach, California, the son of Donna Wood, a finance professional, and Thomas Mills Wood, Sr., a variety performer and accountant. Career Beginning in 1988, Wood appeared in numerous television shows and over ten films including ''Ulee's Gold'', ''Apollo 13'', ''Under Siege'', and ''Avalon''. He worked for a variety of film directors including Andrew Davis, Ron Howard, Barry Levinson, Nora Ephron, and Victor Nuñez. Thomas Wood (born 14 January 1951) is an Irish street photography, street photographer, portraitist and landscape photographer, based in Britain. Wood is best known for his photographs in Liverpool and Merseyside from 1978 to 2001, "on the streets, in pubs and clubs, markets, workplaces, parks and football grounds" of "strangers, mixed with neighbours, family and friends." His work has been published in several books, been widely shown in solo exhibitions and received awards. He has a retrospective exhibition at the Walker Art Gallery in Liverpool until 7 January 2024. Life and work Wood was born and brought up in County Mayo in the west of Ireland. His family left for England in his adolescence, when his mother, a Catholic, was forced away after marrying his father, a Protestant. Tom Wood (born 3 November 1986) is a former English rugby union player for Northampton Saints in the Aviva Premiership. Wood plays as flanker but can also play at number eight. Club career Wood, who was educated at the Woodlands School and Sports College, Coventry, made his debut for Worcester Warriors against Bath in the opening round of the 2007–08 Guinness Premiership. Earlier in his career he spent some time in New Zealand and played for provincial team North Otago. Wood was on the losing side in the final of the 2007–08 European Challenge Cup. In January 2010, Wood agreed to join the Northampton Saints. Tom Wood is an English visual effects supervisor. Wood worked at Cinesite in London, where he worked on various feature films, including ''Event Horizon'' (1997) and ''Lost in Space'' (1998). He then worked at MPC on films including ''Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets'' (2002), '' Kingdom of Heaven'' (2005) and '' Sunshine'' (2007). He worked independently on '' Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time'' (2010). Wood moved to Australia in 2012 to head up the VFX work on '' Mad Max: Fury Road'' with Iloura. Thomas Anthony Wood (born 11 May 1994) is an English cricketer who plays for Derbyshire County Cricket Club. His career started with a cover drive for four runs off his very first ball against a Sri Lanka A touring team in a List A game, where he went onto score 44 off 41 balls. After scoring heavily in Derbyshire's second XI, Wood went onto make his first-class debut for Derbyshire at the end of 2016 where he played the last two games of the season against Leicestershire and Worcestershire. Primarily an aggressive right-handed batsman, he also bowls right-arm off spin. He made his Twenty20 debut for Derbyshire in the 2017 NatWest t20 Blast on 3 August 2017. Wood was released by Derbyshire after the 2017 season but continued to make appearances for the second XI and in local cricket.
