Tom Troman
Victor Thomas 'Tom' Wilfred Troman (30 August 1914 – 2 October 2000) was an English cricketer. Troman was a right-handed batting (cricket), batsman who bowled right-arm Seam bowling, medium pace. He was born in Wednesbury, Staffordshire. Troman made his debut for Staffordshire County Cricket Club, Staffordshire in the 1934 Minor Counties Championship against Denbighshire County Cricket Club, Denbighshire. This was to be his only appearance for the county in 1934 and his last until 1938, when he played his second and final Minor Counties fixture for Staffordshire against the Yorkshire County Cricket Club, Yorkshire Second XI. In 1945, while in the British Raj, he made his only first-class cricket, first-class appearance for the Europeans cricket team, Europeans (India) against the Indians cricket team, Indians. Wednesbury
Wednesbury () is a market town in Sandwell in the county of West Midlands, England. It is located near the source of the River Tame. Historically part of Staffordshire in the Hundred of Offlow, at the 2011 Census the town had a population of 37,817.
