Gian Gaspare Napolitano (30 April 1907 – 5 January 1966) was an Italian journalist, screenwriter and film director. During the 1920s, he wrote for the literary review "900", Cahiers d'Italie et d'Europe. He made ten films between 1935 and 1956. He was a member of the Venice Film Festival jury in 1951, 1953 and 1961. During the Second World War, he was a liaison officer with the Black Watch, and in 1945 he wrote the novel '' In guerra con gli scozzesi'' based on his experiences. His film '' Magia verde'' won the Silver Bear at the Berlin Film Festival and was nominated for the Palme d'Or at Cannes. Paul Konrad Müller (11 March 1923 – 2 September 2016) was a Swiss actor who appeared mostly in Italian films. His motion picture acting career in Europe spanned a period of 51 years. Acting career Theatre In 1941/1942 he studied acting at the "Conservatoire National Supérieur d`Art Dramatique" in Paris. Until 1944 he had different engagements at theatres in Paris, e. g. "Theatre Pigalle", "Salle Pleyel", "Theatre des Ambassadeurs". From 1944 to 1946 he was called up for military service in the French Army in Indochina shortly before the First Indochina War took place there. He caught malaria during that time and, in consequence of the disease, was left hard of hearing. Charles-Marie Vanel (21 August 1892 – 15 April 1989) was a French actor and director. During his 76-year film career, which began in 1912, he appeared in more than 200 films and worked with many prominent directors, including Alfred Hitchcock, Luis Buñuel, Jacques Feyder, and Henri-Georges Clouzot. He is perhaps best remembered for his role as a desperate truck driver in Clouzot's ''The Wages of Fear'' for which he received a Special Mention at the Cannes Film Festival in 1953. Domenico Meccoli (4 January 1913 – 21 November 1983) was an Italian film critic, journalist, screenwriter and occasional actor. Born in Assisi, Meccoli started his career as a journalist and a film critic for the magazine ''Cinema'', and later for several decades he was film critic and chief editor of the magazine ''Epoca (magazine), Epoca''. He wrote for nine films between 1939 and 1954. He was a member of the jury at the 16th Venice International Film Festival in 1955, at the 1956 Cannes Film Festival, 9th Cannes Film Festival in 1956 and at the 18th Berlin International Film Festival in 1968.
