Tom Stone (wrestler)
Steven Hall is a retired American professional wrestler who appeared primarily under the name Tom Stone. He wrestled with the American Wrestling Association (AWA) and the World Wrestling Federation (WWF). Hall was one of the AWA's main trainers for preliminary wrestlers that performed on the company's weekly tv series ''AWA All-Star Wrestling''. One of his former students, Tough Tom of Disorderly Conduct, claimed Hall was the best trainer in the Midwestern United States during the 1980s wrestling boom. Career Stone's father, Red Hall, was a popular Milwaukee disc jockey and was the ring announcer for wrestling shows at the Milwaukee Arena. In professional wrestling slang, a job is a losing performance in a wrestling match. It is derived from the euphemism "doing one's job", which was employed to protect information related to kayfabe from being revealed. The term can be used a number of ways. When a wrestler is booked to lose a match, it is described as "a job". The act itself is described with the verb jobbing, while the act of booking (rather than being booked) to job is called jobbing out. To lose a match fairly (meaning without any kayfabe rules being broken) is to job cleanly. Wrestlers who routinely (or exclusively) lose matches are known as jobbers or "dummy wrestlers". A regular jobber skilled at enhancing the matches they lose, as opposed to a mediocre local rookie or part-timer, is called a carpenter. An autobiography, sometimes informally called an autobio, is a self-written account of one's own life. It is a form of biography. Survivor Series is a professional wrestling pay-per-view (PPV) and livestreaming event, produced annually since 1987 by WWE, the world's largest professional wrestling promotion. Held in November generally the week of Thanksgiving, it is the second longest-running PPV event in history, behind WWE's flagship event, WrestleMania. In addition to PPV, the event has aired on the livestreaming services WWE Network since 2014 and Peacock since 2021. The American Wrestling Association (AWA) was an American professional wrestling promotion based in Minneapolis, Minnesota that ran from 1960 until 1991. It was owned and founded by Verne Gagne and Wally Karbo. The territory was originally part of the National Wrestling Alliance (NWA), becoming an independent territory in 1960. Nicholas Warren Francis "Nick" Bockwinkel (December 6, 1934 – November 14, 2015) was an American professional wrestler. He is best known for his appearances with the American Wrestling Association (AWA) in the 1970s and 1980s. Bockwinkel had a lengthy professional wrestling career with matches in 34 consecutive years.
