Charles Thomas Michael Pugh (13 March 1937 – 1 February 2016) was an English cricketer who captained Gloucestershire County Cricket Club. He was also arguably, for almost half a century, the best doubles rackets player in the world. At one time he owned and ran a nightclub, and as a result was charged with "keeping or managing a brothel", but was acquitted. Life He was born close to Lord's and was educated at Eton. Thomas W. Pugh (born August 1949) is a Minnesota politician, a former member of the Minnesota Public Utilities Commission, and a former minority leader of the Minnesota House of Representatives. Early life Pugh received his undergraduate degree from Dartmouth College in Hanover, New Hampshire, graduating cum laude. He went on to receive his juris doctor from the University of Minnesota Law School. After graduating, he went into private practice with the South St. Paul law firm of Thuet, Pugh, Rogosheske, and Atkins. Career A Democrat, Pugh was first elected to the House in 1989, representing the South St. Paul area of Dakota County. After the DFL Party lost its legislative majority in the 1998 election, he was elected by his caucus to serve as Minority Leader, a position he held until 2003. Thomas Edward Pugh (born 27 September 2000) is a professional footballer who plays as a midfielder for club FC Halifax Town. Club career Born in Doncaster, Pugh joined the academy of Scunthorpe United in February 2017 after previously being at Leeds United. He signed his first professional contract with Scunthorpe in March 2019. Pugh made his first-team debut for Scunthorpe United as an 86th-minute substitute for Clayton Lewis in a 3–2 defeat at Mansfield Town in the EFL Trophy on 13 November 2018. He made his first appearance at Glanford Park in the same competition on 12 November 2019, coming on as an 89-minute substitute for Matty Lund in a 3–0 win over Sunderland. In May 2021, Pugh signed a new one-year contract with Scunthorpe. On 8 February 2022, Pugh picked up a knee injury in a win against Walsall which ruled him out for the rest of the 2021–22 season.
