Tom Moxham
Thomas Robert Moxham (1 April 1860 – 11 January 1916) was an Australian politician. He was born in Parramatta to storekeeper Robert Henry Moxham and Martha Dick. He attended the local All Saints denominational school before joining his brother William in a quarrying business. He also had interests in horse trading, orchards and property. In 1883 he married Mary Agnes Somers at Newcastle; they had five children. He was an alderman on Parramatta Council from 1886 to 1901, serving as mayor from 1897. The Liberal Reform Party was an Australian political party, active in New South Wales state politics between 1901 and 1916. It drew much of its support from Protestant and Temperance groups. History The question of tariff policy which, had created and divided the Free Trade Party and Protectionist Party in New South Wales in the 1890s, became a federal issue at the time of federation. Deprived of their main ideological difference, the two parties were recreated as the Liberal Reform Party, aligned with the federal Free Trade Party, and the Progressive Party, aligned with the federal Protectionist Party. The Progressive Party's vote collapsed at the 1904 election and many of its members then joined the Liberal Reform Party. William Ferris (politician)
William John Ferris (1855 – 24 April 1917) was an Australian politician. He was born in Parramatta to general dealer James Ferris and Bridget Cogan. He ran a Catholic orphan school for some time before joining his brother in a real estate business around 1884. On 15 April 1885 he married Eleanor Alicia Jamieson, with whom he had four children. A Parramatta alderman, he was twice mayor. Albert Bruntnell
Albert Bruntnell (4 August 1866 – 31 January 1929) was an Australian politician. He was a member of the New South Wales Legislative Assembly from 1906 until his death and held a number of ministerial positions in the Government of New South Wales. He was a conservative and at various times he represented the Liberal and Reform and the Nationalist parties. Early life Bruntnell was born in Breconshire, Wales. His father was a master blacksmith and he was educated to elementary level at National schools. Bruntnell was trained as a tailor but in 1885 he joined the Salvation Army and attended the Salvation Army Training School. Following graduation, his first appointment as a Salvation Army Officer was to accompany Commissioner Howard to Australia in 1888.
