Tom Learoyd-Lahrs
Tom Learoyd-Lahrs (born 13 September 1985 in Tweed Heads, New South Wales) is an Australian former professional rugby league footballer who played in the 2000s and 2010s, he played in the National Rugby League (NRL) competition. A New South Wales State of Origin and Australian international representative forward, he played for the Brisbane Broncos, Canberra Raiders and the Melbourne Storm. Early life While educated at Farrer Memorial Agricultural High School, Tamworth. Learoyd-Lahrs represented the 2002 & 2003 Australian Schoolboys. Playing career Learoyd-Lahrs made his first grade debut for the Brisbane Broncos against Parramatta in round 2 of the 2004 NRL season at Suncorp Stadium. In the same year, he played in the club's elimination final against Melbourne. In the 2005 NRL season, he made only two appearances for Brisbane and then joined Canberra. Tweed Heads, New South Wales
Tweed Heads is a town in New South Wales. It is located on the Tweed River in north-eastern New South Wales, Australia, in Tweed Shire, next to the border with Queensland and adjacent to its "twin town" of Coolangatta, which is a suburb of the Gold Coast. The 2005 NRL season was the 98th season of professional rugby league football in Australia and the eighth run by the National Rugby League. The lineup of clubs remained unchanged from the previous year, with fifteen teams contesting the 2005 Telstra Premiership, which culminated in a grand final between the Wests Tigers and the North Queensland Cowboys. Group 4 Rugby League
Group 4 is a rugby league competition in the New England and north west area of New South Wales, run under the auspices of the Country Rugby League. Structure The Group runs a first grade, reserve grade, league tag and under 18s competitions. All nine first grade clubs run at least one lower grade team and most will have three or four. In addition to the nine first grade clubs, there was also one junior club involved in under 16s: Farrer MAHS. The Under 16s competition has since become a part of the junior league organisation in the region, Group 4 JRL. It also formerly ran a second division competition called the Wests Shield. The second division competition contained stand-alone senior teams from smaller towns within the region, who eventually moved up to first grade in 2018 after a merger between the divisions. North Tamworth Bears
The North Tamworth Bears are a rugby league team located in the suburb of North Tamworth, in Tamworth, New South Wales, Australia. They were formed in 1911, three years after Rugby league came to New South Wales, and are one of the oldest clubs in New South Wales, in particular in the Country. They play in the Group 4 Rugby League competition, which is administered by the New South Wales Country Rugby League. The North Tamworth Bears won the 2006 premiership beating the Coonabarabran Unicorns. History The North Tamworth Bears were formed in 1911 and were first known as the Rebels until 1947. They played their first game at No 1 Oval at 4:10 P.M. on 22 July 1911, which was also to be the first game of rugby league to be played in Tamworth. Manly Sea Eagles
The Manly Warringah Sea Eagles are an Australian professional rugby league club based in Sydney's Northern Beaches. The team colours are maroon and white, while their namesake and logo is the sea eagle. They compete in Australia's premier rugby league competition, the National Rugby League (NRL). The club debuted in the 1947 New South Wales Rugby Football League season and currently host the majority of their home games from Brookvale Oval in Brookvale, while training at the New South Wales Academy of Sport in Narrabeen. 2015 Melbourne Storm Season
The 2015 Melbourne Storm season is the 18th in the club's history. They competed in the 2015 NRL season and were coached by Craig Bellamy, who was coach for the 13th consecutive season and captained by Cameron Smith, sole captain for the 8th consecutive season. He played his 300th NRL Game in Round 19 becoming only the 24th player in history to do so. With the youngest Storm side ever assembled under Craig Bellamy, the team once again managed a 14–10 record for the second straight season. This time it was enough to see Melbourne clinch a top four spot on the final day of the season. In Week One of the finals they took on Minor Premiers the Sydney Roosters, who went into the clash on the back of a 12-game winning streak. The Indigenous Australian rugby league team (also known as the Indigenous All Stars or Indigenous Dreamtime team) is a rugby league football team that represents Aboriginal Australians and Torres Strait Islanders. The team was first formed in 1973 and currently plays in an annual All Stars Match against a National Rugby League NRL All Stars team. Neville Costigan
Neville Costigan (born 16 March 1985) is a Papua New Guinean former professional rugby league footballer who played in the 2000s and 2010s. A Papua New Guinea international and Queensland State of Origin representative forward, he played in the National Rugby League for Australian clubs the Brisbane Broncos, the Canberra Raiders, the St. George Illawarra Dragons (with whom he won the 2010 NRL Grand Final) and Newcastle Knights. Costigan then finished his career in the Super League with the Hull Kingston Rovers.
