Nosturi
Nosturi (Finnish language, Finnish for "crane (machine), crane") was a culture and music hall and a nightclub in the Punavuori district of Helsinki, Finland. It was owned by the Association of Live Music (''Elävän musiikin yhdistys'', ELMU). The hall was located at the seaside in Hietalahti, Helsinki, Hietalahti next to the Hietalahti shipyard in an old cargo terminal building. It got its name from the old crane (Hietalahti crane number 6) located right next to it. Many popular live music festivals were held at Nosturi throughout the years. The ELMU had its premises in Nosturi from 1999 to 2019. Before that it operated in the legendary Lepakko nearby. The Absence (band)
The Absence is an American melodic death metal band from Tampa, Florida. Their style has been described as aggressive thrash metal with Scandinavian metal influences. They were previously signed to Metal Blade Records and are now signed to M-Theory Audio. History The band released a self-titled EP in 2004 and followed up with their debut album, ''From Your Grave'', in 2005. The band's second album, ''Riders of the Plague'', was released in 2007. Dreamtone & Iris Mavraki's Neverland is a music group, a collaboration between Turkish progressive metal band Dreamtone and Greek singer Iris Mavraki. Commonly abbreviated as "Neverland", their music can be best described as Symphonic power metal. History In 2004, Neverland's former manager Orpheus Spiliotopoulos listened to Dreamtone's first demo, ''Unforeseen Reflections'' and later introduced the band and Iris Mavraki to each other. Throughout the writing and composing stages of the songs, Iris was in Greece and Dreamtone were in Turkey. During this time, they recorded a collection of demos (two of which are on the special edition of the band's first CD). ''Starfall'' is the third album released by the power metal band Dragonland, and the first not to deal with ''"The Dragonland Chronicles"''. Dragonland is a power metal band from Sweden. The group is known for their self-produced ''The Dragonland Chronicles'' fantasy saga covering their first, second, and fifth albums, and for the original symphonic/electronic parts by Elias Holmlid. History The band was founded in 1999 by guitarist Nicklas Magnusson and Jonas Heidgert. Soon after Daniel Kvist, Magnus Olin and Christer Pederson joined in. ''Sweet Vengeance'' is the debut full-length studio album by the Greek/Swedish melodic death metal band Nightrage. It was released by Century Media Records on 30 June 2003. Some song titles are shortened versions of ones used for demo versions of their respective songs. Critical reception Writing for AllMusic, John Serba said the album was "consistently excellent in both song and performance" and "any fan of the melodic European death metal scene should foam at the mouth upon hearing Nightrage's debut." Nightrage is a Greek/Swedish melodic death metal band originally from Thessaloniki. They later re-located to Gothenburg, Sweden. History Formation and ''Sweet Vengeance'' (2000–2003) Nightrage was founded by Marios Iliopoulos and his close friend Gus G in June 2000. They made three demos from 2001 to 2002.
