Tom Ellis (journalist)
Thomas Caswell Ellis (September 22, 1932 – April 29, 2019) was a Boston-based journalist, well-known throughout New England for his tenure as anchor for three of Boston's network-affiliated stations. His career in television news spans more than 40 years. His career included stints as a correspondent for WNBC-TV and as an anchor for WABC-TV — both in New York City, and for KONO-TV Channel 12 (now KSAT-TV) in San Antonio. His radio career included anchor/reporter duties for KVET-AM in Austin, KWED-AM in Sequin, and KONO-AM/FM in San Antonio, all in Texas. Ellis may be the only individual in television history to anchor top-rated newscasts in 3 major markets: San Antonio, Boston, and New York. His newscasts in Boston all drew top ratings. Walker County, Texas
Walker County is a county located in the east central section of the U.S. state of Texas. As of the 2020 census, its population was 76,400. Its county seat is Huntsville. Initially, Walker County was named for Robert J. Walker, a legislator from Mississippi who introduced into the United States Congress the resolution to annex Texas. Walker later supported the U.S. during its Civil War and earned some enmity for it. In order to keep the county's name, the state renamed it for Samuel H. Walker (no relation), a Texas Ranger and soldier in the United States Army. Diane Willis ( Bruhn) (born July 4, 1948) is an American journalist, documentalist, teacher and newscaster. Career as a broadcaster Willis graduated Phi Beta Kappa from Augustana College and earned several master's degrees from both the University of Chicago and University of Missouri. She spent six years teaching English and journalism before becoming a broadcast journalist. During 1981-82 her first job was at KTVI in St. Louis, Missouri, where she reported and anchored.
