Tom Coyne is an American writer and professor. Coyne has published five books, ''A Gentleman's Game'' (2002), ''Paper Tiger'' (2007), '' A Course Called Ireland'' (2009), A Course Called Scotland (2019), and ''A Course Called America'' (2021). ''A Gentleman's Game'' was adapted into a full-length film starring Gary Sinise and Dylan Baker. After graduating from Archmere Academy, Coyne attended the University of Notre Dame, and then moved to Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, where he is now an English professor at Saint Joseph's University. ''A Gentleman's Game'' A novel about a young Timmy Price, who inspires jealousy at an exclusive golf club in Delaware. Tom Coyne (broadcaster)
Tom Coyne (1930– 2 April 2015) was a British news broadcaster and television presenter who was known for being one of the earliest presenters of ''Top Gear''. Early life He was born in South Shields and attended Corby Hall School in Sunderland, which was a Jesuit run grammar school (now St Aidan's Catholic Academy). He then worked for A. Reyrolle & Company, an engineering company based in Hebburn that manufactured switchgear for power stations. He enjoyed acting and was a member of the Westovian Theatre Company. Career In his twenties Coyne was a presenter of the BBC radio programme ''Children's Hour'' and he made his first television appearance interviewing a miner for Tyne Tees Television and was the first news presenter for the station in 1959. Thomas J. Coyne (December 10, 1954April 12, 2017) was an American mastering engineer. Early life and career Coyne was born in Elizabeth, New Jersey, and grew up in nearby Union, where he graduated from Roselle Catholic High School in 1972. He attended Kean College where he received a degree in Commercial Design. Following college, Coyne's first job was at Dick Charles Recording where Lee Hulko, former owner of Sterling Sound, got his first job in the states after arriving from Thunder Bay, Ontario. In the six months Coyne worked at Dick Charles, he watched Dick master records on the lathe and soon began cutting his own after hours. Coyne then was hired at Frankford/Wayne Mastering Labs, assisting under Dominic Romeo, known for cutting 45s for The Rolling Stones, The Four Seasons, Frankie Valli and Dionne Warwick among others.
