Tomás "Tom" Coman (born 10 November 1979 in Thurles) is a retired Irish athlete who specialised in the 400 metres. Thurles (; ''Durlas Éile'') is a town in County Tipperary, Ireland. It is located in the civil parish of the same name in the barony of Eliogarty and in the ecclesiastical parish of Thurles (Roman Catholic parish), Thurles. The cathedral church of the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Cashel and Emly is located in the town. Location and access Thurles is located in mid-County Tipperary and is surrounded by the Silvermine Mountains (to the northwest) and the Slieveardagh Hills (to the southeast).
