''Tom Cochrane and Red Rider'' is the fifth studio album by the Canadian rock band Tom Cochrane & Red Rider, released in 1986 The album earned Cochrane two Juno Awards for Composer of the Year and Group of the Year. A remastered version was released by EMI in 2004. Commercial performance The album reached #116 on the U.S. ''Billboard'' 200 chart in 1986. In Canada, "Boy Inside the Man" reached #27, "The Untouchable One" hit #70, "One More Time (Some Old Habits)" hit #85, and "Ocean Blues (Emotion Blue)" made #88. The album was certified Platinum in Canada. Red Rider, later known as Tom Cochrane & Red Rider, is a Canadian rock band popular in the 1980s. While they achieved significant success in Canada, the band never had a song in the top 40 in the United States, although "Lunatic Fringe" from their second album, 1981's ''As Far as Siam'', became popular on US album-oriented rock radio. Tom Cochrane
Thomas William Cochrane ( ; born May 14, 1953) is a Canadian musician best known as the frontman for the rock band Red Rider and for his work as a solo singer-songwriter. Cochrane has won eight Juno Awards. He is a member of the Canadian Music Hall of Fame, an officer of the Order of Canada, and has an honorary doctorate from Brandon University. In September 2009, he was inducted onto the Canadian Walk of Fame. Graham Broad
Graham Broad (born 10 March 1957) is an English drummer who has been playing professionally since the age of fifteen, after attending the Royal College of Music in 1970. He is a former pupil of drumming educator Lloyd Ryan, who also taught Phil Collins the drum rudiments. His works have spanned decades with musicians such as Roger Waters, Tina Turner, The Beach Boys, Procol Harum, Jeff Beck, Tom Cochrane and Red Rider, Van Morrison, Bryan Adams, Bill Wyman, Tony Banks and George Michael. John Webster (musician)
John Webster (born December 18, 1957) is a musician, engineer and producer who primarily plays keyboards. He began his musical career as a child, trained in classical piano until his early teens, and then moved on to playing in rock bands. One of his first bands, Stonebolt, landed a top 30 U.S. hit with its first release in 1978 and went on to record four successful albums. Webster joined the band Red Rider in 1984, performing on that year's ''Breaking Curfew'' album and remaining with the group until they disbanded in 1990. Webster then continued to work closely in productions with its leader, Tom Cochrane, including his highly successful ''Mad Mad World'' album. Kenneth "Spider" Sinnaeve (born May 2, 1955) is a Canadian musician. He was a founding member of the popular Canadian band Streetheart, and since 2001 has been a member of Loverboy, replacing late original bassist Scott Smith. Sinnaeve has also contributed to many albums and played live performances with George McCrae, Helix, Tom Cochrane & Red Rider, Kim Mitchell, The Partland Brothers, Lee Aaron, and The Guess Who. Ken Greer
Kenneth William Greer (born 25 July 1954) is a Canadian guitarist and keyboardist. He is one of the founding members of the Canadian rock band Red Rider. Biography Greer is the youngest of seven children born into a musical family in Toronto, Ontario. He grew up in the North Toronto area. He played the pedal steel guitar. After a Red Rider hiatus during most of the 1990s, Greer was involved in numerous musical projects including Big Faith, Hunter-Greer and Gowan. Currently he stills tours as Tom Cochrane and Red Rider, playing guitar, pedal steel and keyboards. He also started touring with the Canadian country band The Road Hammers in 2005 and still joins them when available.
