Anthony Frederick Charles "Tom" Adams (9 March 1938 – 11 December 2014) was an English actor with roles in adventure, horror and mystery films and several TV shows. He was best known for his role as Daniel Fogarty in several series of ''The Onedin Line''. Early life Adams was born in Poplar, London and his father was a commercial chauffeur. After school he did national service in the Coldstream Guards, then joined the Unity Theatre, London. The Avengers (TV Series)
''The Avengers'' is a British Spy fiction, espionage television series, created in 1961, that ran for 161 episodes until 1969. It initially focused on David Keel (Ian Hendry), aided by John Steed (Patrick Macnee). Hendry left after the first series; Steed then became the main character, partnered with a succession of assistants. His most famous assistants were intelligent, stylish and assertive women: Cathy Gale (Honor Blackman), Emma Peel (Diana Rigg), and Tara King (Linda Thorson). Dresses and suits for the series were made by Pierre Cardin. The series ran from 1961 until 1969, screening as one-hour episodes for its entire run. Michael Elliott (director)
Michael Elliott, OBE (26 June 1931 – 30 May 1984) was an English theatre and television director. He was a founding director of the Royal Exchange Theatre in Manchester. Early life Elliott was born in London, England, son of Rev. Canon Wallace Harold Elliott (1884–1957), a Royal chaplain, writer, and broadcaster, and his wife Edith Plaistow Kilburn. He was educated at Radley College and Keble College, Oxford. While still at Oxford he met Caspar Wrede, the theatre director, with whom he was to work closely for the next three decades. Career After leaving Oxford, Elliott assisted on a production of '' Edward II'' at the 1954 Edinburgh Festival Fringe directed by Wrede. '' Fathom '' is a 1967 British spy comedy film directed by Leslie H. Martinson, starring Raquel Welch and Anthony Franciosa. Fathom Harvill (Welch) is a skydiver touring Europe with a U.S. parachute team, who becomes caught up in a deadly competition between competing forces. The film was based on Larry Forrester's second ''Fathom'' novel ''Fathom Heavensent'', then in the draft stage but never published. His first was 1967's ''A Girl Called Fathom''.
