Tollygunge Agragami Football Club is an Indian professional football club based in Tollygunge, Kolkata, West Bengal. Founded in 1943, the club primarily competes in the Calcutta Premier Division League. It previously participated in the National Football League, then top flight of Indian football league system, alongside I-League 2nd Division. Beside CFL, the club participates in other regional tournaments alongside the Kolkata giants ATK Mohun Bagan, East Bengal and Mohammedan Sporting. History Early history Tollygunge Agragami, as a football club, founded in Kolkata, India, during the British raj. The team was incorporated in 1943 as Russa Agragami Samity. It was later renamed to "Tollygunge Agragami" in 1955. The club uses Rabindra Sarobar Stadium as its home ground, which has a capacity of 22,000. Rabindra Sarobar Stadium
The Rabindra Sarobar Stadium is a multi-use stadium in Lake Gardens, Kolkata, India. It is used for football matches and it serves as the home of many Calcutta Football League matches. History The venue opened in 1961. It also was the home ground of Indian Super League club ATK in 2016 while the Salt Lake Stadium was undergoing renovations for the 2017 FIFA U-17 World Cup. Sukhwinder Singh (football Manager)
Sukhwinder Singh is a former Indian footballer and football manager. He was the manager of the Cuttack based Indian Women's League side, Rising Students for the 2013–14 season and was also the coach of the India U-23 side and formerly of the Pailan Arrows of the I-League. After completing his coaching course from National Institute of Sports in Patiala, Singh was appointed chief coach of JCT on 1 July 1992. He also served as deputy general manager and joint secretary of the Phagwara-based club. Sushil Bhattacharya (1924 – 18 July 2015) was an Indian professional football player and coach, who is credited for becoming the first manager of the India women's national football team. He was also the first head coach in history of East Bengal Club. Playing career Born in Bagdogra, Bhattacharya used to play both cricket and hockey beside football. He began his playing career with Town Club in Berhampur, representing the team in IFA Shield. He then appeared with Vidyasagar College and Sporting Union, before signing with East Bengal in 1945. Mohammedan Sporting Club is an Indian multi-sports club based in Kolkata, West Bengal.
