Tollbar Academy
Waltham Toll Bar Academy and 6th Form College is a co-educational secondary school and sixth form, in New Waltham, North East Lincolnshire, England. Admissions A secondary school with a sixth form, it serves 11- to 18-year-olds. The largest school in North East Lincolnshire, it has around 2,000 pupils. The College lies on the border of North East Lincolnshire and Lincolnshire (East Lindsey), and is south of Grimsby. Students come from Grimsby, Cleethorpes, and surrounding Lincolnshire villages. History The original school was opened in 1937 for 300 pupils. It became the Tollbar Secondary Modern School. Further expansion occurred in the 1970s, and has continued. An academy school in England is a state-funded school which is directly funded by the Department for Education and independent of local authority control. Edwin Essel (born 11 March 2004) is an English professional footballer who plays as a striker for Grimsby Borough, on loan from EFL League Two side Grimsby Town. Career Grimsby Town Essel joined the Grimsby Town youth academy at the Under 10's level. The Independent Group for Change, also known as Change UK, was a British centrist, pro-European Union political party, founded in February 2019 and dissolved ten months later, shortly after all its MPs lost their seats in the 2019 general election. Its principal policy was support for a second withdrawal referendum on European Union membership, in which it would campaign to remain in the EU. Angela Christine Smith (born 16 August 1961) is a British former politician who served as Member of Parliament (MP) for Penistone and Stocksbridge from 2010 to 2019 and MP for Sheffield Hillsborough from 2005 to 2010. Paul Wilkinson (born 30 October 1964) is an English former professional footballer and coach. Wilkinson had an 18-year professional playing career that saw make over 650 senior appearances and score more than 150 goals.
