Toil And Trouble
''Toil and Trouble'' is the fourth album by American musician Angelo De Augustine. It was released on June 30, 2023, through Asthmatic Kitty. Background De Augustine started working on the album in 2020. He would spend the next three years working alone and trying to explore the extent of his imagination. As a result, he created a record as "mystifying as a fever dream or fairy tale". The album was written, arranged, recorded, produced and mixed entirely by the musician himself, using 27 different instruments. According to De Augustine, the album stems from "thinking about the madness of the world" at the time and "how overwhelming" it can be. He further explained that he had to detach himself from reality in order to understand it, citing a "counter-world" to gain more knowledge. Angelo De Augustine is an American musician residing in Thousand Oaks, California. He has collaborated with and opened for musician Sufjan Stevens. Early life His parents were both close to music. When he was 5 years old, his father left home. Angelo wanted to be a professional soccer player in his teens years, but an injury altered his trajectory. He began playing and writing music after receiving a guitar from a family friend. Career Angelo De Augustine self-released his first album in 2014, titled ''Spirals of Silence''. Asthmatic Kitty
Asthmatic Kitty is an American independent record label founded in 1999 by a community of musicians from Holland, Michigan led by Sufjan Stevens and his stepfather Lowell Brams. Some were Holland natives, and others had come to attend local colleges and universities. While the original Holland nucleus has dispersed across the country, the community has grown, with new artists and shared projects with other independent labels. The Library Catalog Music Series, inaugurated in 2009, showcases instrumental music by a wide variety of musicians, with eighteen albums in print as of February 2013, and more scheduled for release. Asthmatic Kitty is now based in Lander, Wyoming, Atlanta, Georgia and Brooklyn, New York. The label's name refers to Sara, a stray with feline asthma adopted by Lowell in 1994. Clay animation or claymation, sometimes plasticine animation, is one of many forms of stop-motion animation. Each animated piece, either character or background, is "deformable"—made of a malleable substance, usually plasticine clay. Owen Summers (June 13, 1850 – January 21, 1911) was a businessman, Oregon state legislator, and founder of the Oregon National Guard. Colonel Summers Park in Portland, Oregon, is named in his honor. Early years Owen Summers was born in Brockville, Canada West, on June 13, 1850, to parents John and Elizabeth Ann Summers, with Owen one of five children. The family soon moved to Chicago, Illinois, where John Summers entered the shoe business.
