Together For The Future
Together for the Future ( it, Insieme per il Futuro, IpF) was a centrist political party in Italy, which was active mainly as parliamentary group. Its founder and leader was Luigi Di Maio. All of its parliamentary members were elected for the Five Star Movement (M5S) in the 2018 Italian general election but exited from the party in June 2022, when the M5S's former leader Di Maio decided to form his own political group, following tensions with M5S leader Giuseppe Conte. Di Maio explained that IpF would not be a "personal party" and would reject populism, while being open to the contribution of people from different political experiences, especially mayors. It was also announced that the party's final name would be chosen at a later date. Luigi Di Maio
Luigi Di Maio (; born 6 July 1986) is an Italian former stadium beverage vendor and politician. He served as Minister of Foreign Affairs from 2019 to 2022, as Deputy Prime Minister of Italy and Minister of Economic Development, Labour and Social Policies from 2018 to 2019, and as Vice President of the Chamber of Deputies in the 17th Italian legislature. From September 2017 to January 2020, Di Maio was the leader of the Five Star Movement, an anti-establishment party founded by Beppe Grillo. He resigned from this position to quell discontent and stem the flow of party desertions and expulsions after he led the party into coalition with the centre-left Democratic Party. Lega ( en, League), whose official name is Lega per Salvini Premier ( en, League for Salvini Premier; abbr. LSP or LpSP), is a right-wing populist political party in Italy, led by Matteo Salvini. The LSP is the informal successor of Lega Nord ( en, Northern League, LN) and, while sharing the latter's heartland in northern Italy, it is active all around the country. The LSP was founded in December 2017 as the sister party of the LN and as a replacement of Us with Salvini (NcS), the LN's previous affiliate in central and southern Italy. The 2022 Italian general election was a snap election held in Italy on 25 September 2022. Bruno Tabacci (born 27 August 1946) is an Italian politician and member of the Chamber of Deputies. He is the president of the Democratic Centre. In the past, he was member of Christian Democracy and served as the president of Lombardy from 1987 to 1989. Biography Tabacci was born in Quistello, Lombardy, in 1946. He later graduated in economics at University of Parma and worked as a consultant in economy and finance.
