Together For Vojvodina (coalition)
Together for Vojvodina ( Serbian: Заједно за Војводину, ''Zajedno za Vojvodinu'') was a political coalition in the Serbian province of Vojvodina. At the latest legislative elections in Vojvodina, in September 2004, the alliance won 9.44% of the popular vote, and 7 seats in the provincial parliament. Serbian Language
Serbian (, ) is the standardized variety of the Serbo-Croatian language mainly used by Serbs. It is the official and national language of Serbia, one of the three official languages of Bosnia and Herzegovina and co-official in Montenegro and Kosovo. It is a recognized minority language in Croatia, North Macedonia, Romania, Hungary, Slovakia, and the Czech Republic. Vojvodina
Vojvodina ( sr-Cyrl, Војводина}), officially the Autonomous Province of Vojvodina, is an autonomous province that occupies the northernmost part of Serbia. Serbia elects a legislature and a president on a national level. The National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia, National Assembly of Serbia (''Narodna skupština Republike Srbije'') has 250 members elected for a four-year term. Serbia has a multi-party system, with numerous political parties, parties in which no one party often has a chance of gaining power alone, and political parties, parties must work with each other to form coalition governments. League Of Vojvodina Social Democrats
The League of Social Democrats of Vojvodina ( sr-cyrl, Лига социјалдемократа Војводине, Liga socijaldemokrata Vojvodine, LSV) is an autonomist political party in Serbia. Its current leader since 19 November 2022 is Bojan Kostreš. History The party was founded by Nenad Čanak on 14 July 1990 in Novi Sad. The Vojvodina's Party ( sr-cyrl, Војвођанска партија, Vojvođanska partija; , VP) is a political party in Serbia that operates in Vojvodina. Party platform It calls for a change of the Constitution of Serbia, which would reform the current republic with two autonomous provinces, into a state with at least two federal units, Vojvodina and Serbia Proper. The Social Democratic Union ( sr, Социјалдемократска унија, Socijaldemokratska unija; abbr. СДУ, SDU) was a minor social democratic and leftist political party in Serbia. 2008 Vojvodina Parliamentary Election
Provincial elections were held for the unicameral Assembly of Serbia's northern Autonomous Province of Vojvodina on 11 May 2008, with a second-round to be held on 25 May 2008. They were scheduled by the Speaker of the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia Oliver Dulić on 29 December 2007, as required per the Constitutional Law adopted by the National Assembly of Serbia on 30 September 2006 that proclaimed the new Constitution. Negotiations regarding the new electoral law in the current provincial assembly had failed.
