Toei Fushigi Comedy Series
The is a series of Japanese tokusatsu programs which was produced by Toei Company and was aired by Fuji TV from 9:00 am to 9:30 am on Sunday. Features This series is known as various superheroes similar to the ''Kamen Rider Series'', ''Super Sentai'', and ''Metal Hero Series''. However, these shows mainly focus on cute robots similar to Robocon, cute and unusual creatures, masked individuals who get tracked down by school children, and magical girls. Each one is supposed to invoke mysterious humor; hence the name fushigi, which means "mystery" in Japanese. This series of programs was shown throughout the 1980s and ended in the early 1990s. Toei Superheroes are superhero shows produced by Toei Company, a company that has done the largest number of live-action tokusatsu superhero shows in Japan. Many of the Toei Superheroes were featured in the video special ''Toei 100 Great Hero Super Fight'' (東映100大ヒーロー スーパーファイト) released on July 21, 1986. Shotaro Ishinomori
was a Japanese manga artist who became an influential figure in manga, anime, and , creating several immensely popular long-running series such as ''Cyborg 009,'' the ''Super Sentai'' series (later adapted into the ''Power Rangers'' series), and the ''Kamen Rider'' series. He was twice awarded by the Shogakukan Manga Awards, in 1968 for ''Sabu to Ichi Torimono Hikae'' and in 1988 for ''Hotel'' and ''Manga Nihon Keizai Nyumon''. He was born as in Tome, Miyagi, and was also known as prior to 1986, when he changed his family name to Ishinomori by adding the character in katakana. is a Japanese tokusatsu comedy family robot television series created by Shotaro Ishinomori and produced by Toei. It ran from October 4, 1974, to March 25, 1977, on NET TV. ran from January 31, 1999 (a week after the finale of ''Tetsuwan Tantei Robotack'') to January 23, 2000 (a week before the premiere of ''Kamen Rider Kuuga''). This series joined ''Kyuukyuu Sentai GoGoFive''. The story follows Robocon, a student of Gantz's Robot Academy who lives amongst humans and aids them as part of his studies. Though Robocon is a screw up, he makes efforts to establish a good image for robots in the eyes of humans they cross paths with.
