Toe Jam Hill
Toe Jam Hill, 425 feet tall, is the high point on Bainbridge Island, Washington and one of the highest points in Kitsap County, Washington. Its name has several explanations, including that it was named for a local settler with the name Torjam (the explanation given by the local historical society), that it was named for stumbling drunkards, or that existing explanations are "all conjecture". The hill was once a "villainous" milestone for bicycle riders on the Chilly Hilly season opener sponsored by Seattle's Cascade Bicycle Club, and on the Bainbridge Island Half Marathon, formerly called Toe Jam Hill Half Marathon. The Bainbridge Island high point's location is reported variously at highpointing websites. Joe Robinson (musician)
Joseph Robert Robinson (born 25 May 1991), is an Australian guitar player and vocalist. A largely self-taught musician from Temagog, NSW, he is best known for his virtuoso guitar abilities and for winning the 2008 season of Australia's Got Talent. Biography Robinson was born in Temagog, New South Wales, Australia. He started playing piano at the age of six, only because he was told his fingers were too small to play the guitar. Aged ten, he quit piano and began to play the guitar. He outgrew his guitar teacher in less than 12 months, and started to teach himself from the internet. When he was eleven years old, Joe began touring with different Australian artists, including Tommy Emmanuel, who became his mentor. When Robinson was 13, he won the Australian National Songwriting Competition. ''ToeJam & Earl in Panic on Funkotron'' is a platform video game developed by Johnson Voorsanger Productions and published by Sega in 1993 for the Sega Genesis. The game is the sequel to cult video game ''ToeJam & Earl'', released in 1991. The game concerns two alien protagonists, ToeJam and Earl, both of whom have escaped from Earth, where they had crash landed. After returning to their home planet of Funkotron, the duo discover a number of antagonistic Earthlings have stowed away on the spacecraft and are wreaking havoc across the planet. The player must hunt down these Earthlings and imprison them in jars before sending them back to Earth. The game's platform format was a departure from the original ''ToeJam & Earl'', a treasure hunt game with randomly generated levels, inspired by the game ''Rogue''. ''ToeJam & Earl'' is an action game developed by Johnson Voorsanger Productions and published by Sega for the Sega Mega Drive (Genesis) console. Released in 1991, it centers on ToeJam and Earl—alien rappers who have crash-landed on Earth. As they attempt to escape the planet, players assume the role of either character and collect pieces of their wrecked spacecraft. It references and parodies 1980s and early 90s urban culture and is set to a funk soundtrack. ''ToeJam & Earls design was heavily influenced by the role-playing video game '' Rogue'' (1980) and derived various features from the game, such as the random generation of levels and items.
