Todor Kolev (actor)
Todor Petrov Kolev ( bg, Тодор Колев; 26 August 1939 – 15 February 2013) was a leading Bulgarian film and stage actor, singer, comedian and TV presenter. Born in Shumen, his first major film was ''Tsar i General'' ''(Tsar and General)'' in 1966. He has appeared in more than 30 films. He is best known to the Bulgarian audience by his roles in comedies such as ''Gospodin za edin den'' (''King for a day''), ''Dvoynikat'' (''The Double''), ''Prebroyavane na Divite Zaytsi'' (''The Hare Census''), ''Tsarska Piesa'' (''Royal Play''), ''Posledniyat Ergen'' (''The Last Bachelor''), ''Opasen Char'' (''Dangerous Charm''). Shumen
Shumen ( bg, Шумен, also romanized as ''Shoumen'' or ''Šumen'', ) is the tenth largest city in Bulgaria and the administrative and economic capital of Shumen Province. Etymology The city was first mentioned as ''Šimeonis'' in 1153 by the Arab traveler Idrisi. The name is probably from Bulgarian ''shuma'' '(deciduous forest).' ''Opasen char'' () is a comedy/crime film released in Bulgaria in 1984. It was directed by Ivan Andonov and written by Svoboda Bachvarova. The story is about a highly educated and charming gentleman, who is actually a brilliant con artist, who robs naïve women. He constantly changes his name, his exploits are countless and his life is one everlasting adventure. Plot Born with the plain name Gencho Gunchev and with the soul of an adventurer, he cannot settle with the daily grind of a clerk. Using his charm, Gunchev begins relationships with rich women and after that disappears with their money. Pretending to be the famous freelance architect Yastrebovski, he wrings a huge amount of money out of a group of naïve people. The swindling is caught in a bar where he squanders the money of those people.
