Todd Koenig
Todd Koenig (born November 27, 1985) is a former American football safety. He was originally signed by the Browns as an undrafted free agent in 2008, but was cut from the roster on May 6. He played college football at Ohio. High school career Koenig attended Bishop Carroll High School in Ebensburg, Pennsylvania and helped the Huskies to a state semifinal appearance in his senior year. He was a first-team Associated Press and Pennsylvania Football News all-state selection and was named Defensive Player of the Year by Johnstown's '' The Tribune-Democrat''. Koenig was chosen as an all-star for both defensive back (first team) and running back (second team) by the ''Altoona Mirror'', rushing for 1,722 yards and 26 touchdowns during his senior season. Safety (American Football Position)
Safety is a position in gridiron football on the defense. The safeties are defensive backs who line up ten to fifteen yards from the line of scrimmage. There are two variations of the position: the free safety and the strong safety. Their duties depend on the defensive scheme. The defensive responsibilities of the safety and cornerback usually involve pass coverage towards the middle and sidelines of the field. While American (11-player) formations generally use two safeties, Canadian (12-player) formations generally have one safety and two defensive halfbacks, a position not used in the American game. The Buffalo Bulls football program is the intercollegiate American football team for the University at Buffalo located in the U.S. state of New York. The team competes at the NCAA Division I level in the Football Bowl Subdivision and is a member of the Mid-American Conference. Buffalo's first football team was fielded in 1894. The team plays its home games at the 25,000+ seat UB Stadium on University at Buffalo's north campus in Amherst, New York. The Bulls are coached by Maurice Linguist. The 2007 GMAC Bowl was an American college football bowl game. It was part of the 2006 NCAA Division I FBS football season and was the ninth edition of the bowl game. It was played on January 7, 2007 and featured the Southern Miss Golden Eagles, and the Ohio Bobcats. Tory Harrison started the scoring, by rushing 43 yards for a touchdown, to give Southern Miss the first points of the game, 7–0. Damion Fletcher later scored on a e yard touchdown run giving the Eagles a 14–0 lead. With 1:13 left in the half James Denley intercepted an Ohio pass, and returned it 18 yards for another Southern Miss touchdown. The halftime score had Southern Miss up 21–0 over Ohio. In the third quarter, Fletcher scored on a 9-yard touchdown run to increase the lead to 28–0. Austen Everson threw a 13-yard touchdown pass to Thomas Christy for Ohio, to make the score 28–7. The MAC Football Championship Game is a football game between the winners of the East and West divisions of the Mid-American Conference (MAC) to determine the conference champion. History The game has been played since 1997, when the conference was first divided into divisions and since 2020 has been sponsored by Rocket Mortgage (officially known as the Rocket Mortgage MAC Football Championship).
