Todd Bates (American Football)
Todd Bates (born March 12, 1983) is an American football coach and former defensive end who is currently the co-defensive coordinator and defensive tackles coach at the University of Oklahoma. He previously served as the defensive tackles coach and recruiting coordinator at Clemson University from 2018 to 2021 Bates has established himself as one of top college football recruiters in the country, winning the Rivals Recruiter of the Year award in 2019. Playing career Bates was a four-year defensive end at Alabama from 2001 to 2004, and was a co-captain in his senior year, winning SEC defensive lineman of the week for his performance in the Crimson Tide's game against Southern Miss. He signed with the Tennessee Titans as an undrafted free agent in 2005 and spent two seasons with the team before retiring due to a number of injuries. 2004 Alabama Crimson Tide Football Team
The 2004 Alabama Crimson Tide football team represented the University of Alabama during the 2004 NCAA Division I-A football season. This was the team's 72nd season in the SEC. The Crimson Tide were led by head coach Mike Shula who was entering his second season as head coach. They began their season with trying to improve from a 4–9 (2–6) record from the 2003 season. The 2004 squad finished the season with a record of 6–6 following a loss to Minnesota in the Music City Bowl. The team began the 2004 season at 3–0 with blowout victories over Utah State, Mississippi, and Western Carolina. Austin Bryant (born November 12, 1996) is an American football defensive end for the San Francisco 49ers of the National Football League (NFL). He played college football at Clemson. Early years Bryant attended Thomas County Central High School in Thomasville, Georgia. He committed to Clemson University to play college football. College career As a true freshman at Clemson in 2015, Bryant played in 13 games, recording 22 tackles and 1.5 sacks. Clelin Ferrell
Clelin Ferrell (born May 17, 1997) is an American football defensive end for the Las Vegas Raiders of the National Football League (NFL). He played college football at Clemson, and was drafted by the Raiders in the first round of the 2019 NFL Draft. Personal life Son to Cleavester and Faye Ferrell, both in the military. Ferrell has four brothers and four sisters, all at least 10 years older than him. His parents enrolled Clelin at Benedictine College Preparatory, a private military academy in Richmond, Virginia, because they believed that he needed some more structure. Dexter Lawrence II (born November 12, 1997), nicknamed "Sexy Dexy", is an American football nose tackle for the New York Giants of the National Football League (NFL). Christian Wilkins (born December 20, 1995) is an American football defensive end for the Miami Dolphins of National Football League (NFL). He played college football at Clemson and was drafted by the Dolphins in the first round of the 2019 NFL Draft. Early years Wilkins originally attended Framingham High School. Thomas Brent Venables (born December 18, 1970) is an American football coach who is the head coach at the University of Oklahoma. He previously served as the defensive coordinator and linebackers coach at Clemson University from 2012 to 2021. Marion Hobby (born November 7, 1966 in Irondale, Alabama) is an American football coach who is the defensive line coach for the Cincinnati Bengals of the National Football League (NFL). Playing career Hobby played college football at the University of Tennessee under head coach Johnny Majors. While at Tennessee he was a three-year starter and a First-team All-SEC pick in 1989. John Clyde Grass (born February 29, 1968) is an American football coach. He is the former head football coach at the Jacksonville State University, a position he held from 2014 until 2021. Grass joined the coaching staff of the Jacksonville State Gamecocks in 2013 as assistant head coach and offensive coordinator under Bill Clark.
