''Hollyoaks'' is a British soap opera which began airing on Channel 4 on 23 October 1995. It was created by Phil Redmond, who had previously conceived the soap opera ''Brookside (TV series), Brookside''. Since 2005, episodes have been aired on sister channel E4 (TV channel), E4 a day prior to their broadcast on Channel 4. At its inception, the soap was targeted towards an adolescent and young adult audience but has since broadened its appeal to all age groups. Parry Glasspool
Parry Glasspool (born 5 March 1992) is a British actor. He played Harry Thompson in the Channel 4 soap opera ''Hollyoaks'' and was nominated for Best Newcomer at the 21st National Television Awards in 2016. The character was killed off in 2019 after four years on the soap. In 2022, Glasspool was cast in the ITV soap opera ''Emmerdale'' as Jason Denshaw. Early and personal life Glasspool was born on 5 March 1992 to a Welsh mother and English father in Hollywood, Worcestershire, and was educated at Woodrush High School in Wythall and Stratford-upon-Avon College and then studied for a BA Honours in Acting for Stage and Media at Kingston College. Jake Quickenden
Jacob "Jake" Quickenden (born 3 September 1988) is an English singer, footballer and reality television personality. He was a contestant on the ninth and eleventh series of ''The X Factor'' in 2012 and 2014, before being runner-up in series 14 of '' I'm a Celebrity...Get Me Out of Here!'' in December 2014. Football career Quickenden plays football, mainly as a winger or forward. He began his football career as a youth player for Scunthorpe United but suffered a broken leg, ending his chances with his hometown club. Ross Adams is an English actor.
