Pantelis Voulgaris
Pantelis Voulgaris ( el, Παντελής Βούλγαρης; born 23 October 1940) is a Greek film director and screenwriter. His first feature film ''To proxenio tis Annas'' in 1972 won the first prize in Thessaloniki International Film Festival. His 1989 film ''The Striker with Number 9'' was entered into the 39th Berlin International Film Festival. Two years later, his film ''Quiet Days in August'' was entered into the 41st Berlin International Film Festival. In 2005 his film ''Brides (2004 film), Brides'' was entered into the 27th Moscow International Film Festival. Thessaloniki Festival Of Greek Cinema
The Thessaloniki Film Festival started in 1960 and at the beginning comprised exclusively Greek films. The first years (1960-1965) the festival was called "Week of Greek Cinema". From 1965 to 1991 the festival was called Festival of Greek Cinema and from 1992 became an international film festival as the Thessaloniki International Film Festival. Since 1992, Greek films compete in a different section of the festival with the name Greek State Film Awards. Since 2008, the Greek competition was abolished and remained only the international section of the festival. Today the Greek films compete in Hellenic Film Academy Awards. Below are considered the awards of Thessaloniki Film Festival during the period that only Greek films took part (1960-1991). Kostas Rigopoulos
Kostas Rigopoulos ( el, Κώστας Ρηγόπουλος; 22 November 1930 – 14 January 2001) was a Greek actor. Biography Rigopoulos was born in Athens in November 1930 and graduated from the National Theatre of Greece Drama School in 1953. He appeared on stage for the first time at the Kyveli Theater, playing an Oscar Wilde role. It was there that he met the 18-year-old actress Kakia Analyti, whom he later married. Together they had a daughter, Zoi Rigopoulou, who became an actress as well. Later on, he appeared alongside other renowned actors and actresses, including Lambeti, Katerina, Katrakis and Horn. From 1962, he ran his own theater company with his wife, at the Diana Theatre; a year later, they established their own theatre, the Analyti Theatre.
