Polyrhythm Addicts is a hip hop group composed of DJ Spinna, Mr Complex, Shabaam Sahdeeq, and Tiye Phoenix. The lineup on its first album included Apani B, but she was replaced by Phoenix when the group reunited in 2007. Polyrhythm Addicts began as a collaborative project set up by Nervous Records in 1999 that united several New York City rappers for one single, "Not Your Ordinary." The reception paved the way for the album ''Rhyme Related'', released in 1999. The group then disbanded to focus on their individual careers, reuniting for the ''Breaking Glass'' album, released in 2007. Troy Donald Jamerson (born October 31, 1972), better known by his stage name Pharoahe Monch, is an American rapper from South Jamaica, Queens, New York. Jigmastas are an East Coast underground hip hop group based in Brooklyn. The group consists of DJ Spinna and MC Kriminul. History DJ Spinna, was already renowned throughout the 1990s, and as well already knew Kriminul from the mid-1980s. Jigmastas' recording debut was in Rude Rydims' "Everybody Bounce" on Freeze Records in 1995. The duo released their first single "Beyond Real" which became an underground rap hit, and inspired the name of their self-funded record label, "Beyond Real Recordings," in 1996.
